Captain

• Former law enforcement or military experience required
• College degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred
• Five (5) years of security supervisor experience required

The Captain functions as a supervisor overseeing Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more client sites.

The Captain ensures:

• All post orders are followed
• Established rounds are completed
• Required reports are filed accurately and promptly
• Proper authorities and clients are notified in emergency situations

• →Coaching & Discipline: Coaches and disciplines personnel appropriately. Seeks guidance from company management or designated representatives as needed. Meets with employees to document coaching and disciplinary actions.
• →Training & Oversight: Trains Security Officers and other company personnel. Reviews post orders and assignment details with subordinates.
• →Payroll & Scheduling: Assists in payroll submission and personnel management. Ensures adequate coverage for all posts and positions in coordination with management.
• →Client Interaction: Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to ensure all security requirements are met and quality customer service is provided.
• →Reporting: Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
• →Post Inspections: Inspects posts and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.

In accordance with applicable company policies, procedures, and compliance with state and federal laws, supervisory duties include:

• Interviewing, orienting, and training employees
• Planning, assigning, and directing work
• Coaching and appraising employee performance
• Rewarding and disciplining employees
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Making hiring and termination recommendations

May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policies.
