Security Officer - Clifton Park, NY

We are currently hiring for two security positions at a client site in Clifton Park, NY. These roles offer an opportunity to work in a professional security environment focused on safety, access control, and customer service.

Available Positions

Security Officer

• Monday through Friday, 0600-1400 (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
• 40 hours per week
• $18.50 per hour

Shift Lead

• Monday through Wednesday and Friday, 1400-2200 (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
• Thursday, 1000-1800 (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• 40 hours per week
• $20.00 per hour

Reliable transportation is required, as public transit may not align with shift hours. All candidates must possess a valid NYS Driver's License and be able to meet Securitas Safe Drive Program requirements, as client vehicles may be used for patrol duties. CPR training will be provided for candidates who do not hold a current certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control access to the facility and monitor vehicle drop-offs and pickups.
• Monitor and manage the secure entry and exit of trucks and visitors.
• Conduct vehicle and foot patrols throughout the property.
• Log activities, transactions, and incidents using both written documentation and
• Complete clear, accurate, and professional incident reports.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Operate security-related technology and systems.
• Perform duties outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• For the Shift Lead position: provide leadership and direction to on-site Security Officers, assist with training, and support daily site operations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Valid NYS Driver's License required and ability to qualify for Safe Drive certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or confrontational situations.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation required.
