You'll work closely with our Fractional CFO to manage core financial reporting, review bookkeeping outputs, and drive profitability across our Amazon and DTC operations. This role is remote but requires availability during US Central Time hours (9:00 AM 5:00 PM CST).
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports using QuickBooks Online.
- Review Bookkeeper entries for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct variance analyses and create executive-ready presentations with insights.
- Partner with the CFO to improve reporting frameworks and strategy alignment.
- Evaluate SKU-level profitability, fees, shipping, PPC, and returns.
- Analyze marketing ROI and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Track and report inventory-related losses and unsellable returns.
- Monitor daily sales performance across US, Canada, and EU marketplaces.
- Maintain forecasts, analyze ROI, and provide variance commentary.
- Support scenario modeling and long-term revenue planning.
- Maintain cash flow forecasts integrating supplier and marketing spend.
- Track exchange rate impacts (e.g., CNY/USD) on pricing and procurement.
- Recommend proactive actions to mitigate risks and ensure liquidity.
- Prepare financial models and ad hoc analysis for leadership.
- Oversee VAT compliance (UK/Germany) and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis (e-commerce or inventory-based business preferred).
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping review, accounting controls, and reporting accuracy.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills you can turn complex data into clear insights.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and QuickBooks Online.
- (Bonus) Experience with Power BI, SQL, or Python for data visualization and analysis.
- QuickBooks Online (financial reporting)

- 100% accuracy in financial reporting
- 90%+ forecast accuracy
- Timely delivery of all recurring reports
- <5% budget variance
- 3 or more cost or profitability improvements per quarter
