Authorization Specialist

⚠️ Please note: This role involves reviewing sensitive mental health records, including cases involving PTSD and suicidal ideation, which may be triggering for some individuals.

• → Gather and review patient documentation to verify eligibility for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments
• → Coordinate with outside providers to obtain relevant medical records and patient history
• → Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance authorization requests
• → Manage and organize incoming faxes and patient documentation
• → Represent and advocate for patients during clinical review calls with insurance providers
• → Ensure all documentation is accurately entered into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• → Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient patient care
• → Perform other administrative and operational duties as needed

• Strong desire to advocate for patients and ensure access to medically necessary treatment
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and stay organized
• Strong communication skills — comfortable working with clinical staff and external providers
• High attention to detail in documenting patient and insurance information
• Confidence using online systems, EHR platforms, and computer tools

• Experience in medical authorization, insurance coordination, or a healthcare administrative role
• Familiarity with TMS, behavioral health, or prior authorization processes
