Development Partner, Trade Development and Strategy [Contract]

Within the Group, the Trade Development and Strategy (TDS) Division plays a central role in this effort, overseeing trade-related incentive schemes, and cultivating strategic partnerships with key ecosystem stakeholders with the view of embarking on impactful industry initiatives.
Responsibilities
~1 min readYou will strengthen governance and processes related to our schemes, and will also contribute to policy improvements that directly enhance Singapore's competitiveness and attractiveness as a global commodity trading hub. Responsibilities include:
- →Working closely with internal stakeholders to shape and oversee incentive management to be effective and responsive to industry needs.
- →Interacting across government agencies/ministries to ensure alignment on incentive policy intent and outcomes.
- →Reviewing and streamlining incentive workflows, administrative and reporting processes.
- →Ensuring compliance with internal controls, regulations and policy manuals
- →Working with internal and external stakeholders on audit, policy and process-related queries
We are looking for candidates with:
- 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to understand financial statements and verify financial entries
- Competent in sense-making and problem-solving
- Strong process improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen governance.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage companies, stakeholders and partner agencies effectively.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative mindset.
- Meticulous and detailed.
- Familiarity with corporate tax would be advantageous.
