Senior Engineering Executive/ Engineering Exec (Ionising Radiation Control Dept)

As the Engineering Executive/ Senior Engineering Executive of the Ionising Radiation Control Department in the Regulation Division, you will administer radiation safety regulations and advance Singapore’s radiation protection framework through:

• →Implementing the Radiation Protection Act and its Regulations, ensuring that all users of radiation comply with safety requirements across Singapore
• →Processing applications for radiation licences and where necessary, seek clarification from applicants on their licence applications
• →Evaluating health and environmental impacts of radiation exposure
• →Providing guidance to applicants in their licence applications and enquiries on licensing-related matters
• →Conducting inspections, where necessary, of medical and industrial premises that handle irradiating apparatus/radioactive materials and prepare inspection reports and assessments based on the information gathered from inspections
• →Performing other duties as may be required of you under purview of the Regulation Division

Job Requirements:

• At least a polytechnic diploma in a science or engineering related discipline
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Highly self-motivated and resourceful
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills
• Meticulous and resourceful
• Organised and able to multi-task
