• →Prepares specimens through proper handling protocols to ensure the viable specimens, as well as accurate clinical results.
• →Utilizes standard procedures to identify the patient, label, record all test tubes, log procedures, and enter specimen data into the computer system.
• →Responds quickly, courteously, and professionally toward, clients, and co-workers to provide exceptional customer service and adhere to the Company’s values and business practices.
• →Handles administrative duties to receive, identify, accession, and process specimens using established protocols to facilitate timely and accurate test performance.
• →Prepares specimens for transportation, including labeling vials accurately and matching blood specimens to patients.
• →Understands laboratory requisitioning for appropriate billing documentation.
• →Keeps work area clean and maintains adequate laboratory supplies.
• →Maintains compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and laboratory safety practices.
• →Utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) and follows all safety and standard protection guidelines.
• →Answer phones
• →Give results to Physician offices
