Law Enforcement Officer

• Current APOST certification

• Current employment with a law enforcement agency in Alabama

• Written permission from your agency to work off duty

• Ability to maintain a visible presence throughout the shift

Officers may use their department patrol car if authorized by their agency. A patrol car will be provided if department vehicle use is not permitted.

Pay starts at $35 per hour and may reach $45 per hour, depending on experience, days worked, and whether the officer uses a department patrol car or a provided vehicle.

As a Signal Off-Duty Law Enforcement Officer, you are operating as a law enforcement officer representing your agency or department. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail and awareness, as you will conduct foot and vehicle-based patrols in and outside of facilities to protect the physical well-being of suspects, customers, associates. This position also requires the protection of facility property, access points are properly secured and all areas of the facility are safe from any hazards. All duties listed below are minimum requirements – additional duties listed in the site’s Post Orders are requirements as well.

• →18 years of age or older
• →High school diploma or GED
• →Sworn, uniformed law enforcement officer
• →Pass background check and drug test
• →Must have reliable transportation
• →Complete training modules within the first month
• →Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
• →Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values, and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times
• →Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
