Develop user-centered design recommendations that simplify workflows, improve system navigation, and balance user needs with business requirements and technical constraints.
Design dashboards and data visualizations (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) that present real property, asset, and performance data clearly, applying data visualization best practices so users can quickly interpret information and take action
Design the user-facing touchpoints of RPA and intelligent automation solutions, including intak forms, request portals, human-in-the-loop review and exception-handing screens, status notifications, and bot monitoring views.
Design, develop, test, and implement user interface enhancements using front-end development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and applicable frameworks, as program needs evolve.
Facilitate design reviews and working sessions with functional users, stakeholders, and technical teams to validate proposed solutions and incorporate feedback.
Establish and maintain UI/UX design standards, reusable components, and development best practices to promote consistency, maintainability, and scalability across supported systems.
Ensure proposed designs and developed interfaces comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements, applicable Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and relevant Navy and DoW standards.
Collaborate with developers, system owners, and business analysts to translate approved designs into actionable technical requirements, support implementation, and validate that developed solutions align with intended designs.
Support the design and potential development of intuitive, transparent, and trustworthy user interfaces for emerging technologies, including AI-enabled applications, generative AI, and intelligent automation solutions, with clear indication of AI-generated content, source references, limitations, and points for human review and override.
Define and track UX success measures (e.g., task completion rate, time on task, error rate, System Usability Scale scores, and user adoption) to establish baselines, prioritize improvements, and demonstrate the impact of design changes.
