Drawing Content Lead

Simply builds digital learning products grounded in strong pedagogy and thoughtful product design. As we continue to expand Simply Draw, we’re looking for a Drawing Content Lead to own and shape how drawing is taught inside the app.
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of drawing, education, and product. You will define the instructional approach, design structured step-by-step learning journeys, and ensure our content builds both technical skill and creative confidence at scale.
What You’ll Do

• Own the drawing pedagogy — define the instructional framework and translate complex artistic skills into clear, structured, step-by-step learning journeys.

• Design and lead content production — create and oversee video-based lessons and content units that balance technical mastery with creative exploration.

• Set and uphold quality standards — build lesson flows, exercises, and guidance that are clear, engaging, and confidence-building while working within production constraints.

• Lead freelance creators — recruit, guide, and provide actionable feedback to ensure consistency and excellence across content.

• Collaborate cross-functionally — work closely with product and design, using user insights and data to continuously refine and improve the learning experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to draw — this is a must-have for the role. You should be comfortable drawing yourself and able to demonstrate practical understanding of drawing fundamentals, visual structure, and artistic decision-making.

• Strong passion for drawing and visual expression.

• Background in drawing or adjacent creative fields, such as illustration, design, animation, fashion, or visual communication.

• Ability to break down complex artistic concepts into clear, structured, step-by-step learning experiences.

• Strong pedagogical thinking — understanding how people actually learn and improve.

• Ability to manage freelance creators and provide structured, actionable feedback.

• Product sense — ability to understand user needs and constraints, and prioritize what truly matters.

• Comfortable translating product insights and feedback into content decisions.

• Experience working in a tech environment and/or within organizations — a strong advantage.

• Technically savvy; familiarity with AI tools for visual or content workflows is a plus.

• Teaching experience, whether formal or informal — an advantage.

• Experience working with children — an advantage.
