High School Community Learning & Engagement and Interim Semester Associate Coordinator

The High School Interim Semester & Community Learning & Engagement (CLE) Associate Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting, coordinating and developing Singapore American School’s experiential and community learning culture.

This dual role connects two key areas of impact:

• Interim Semester: contributing to the design, coordination, and safe implementation of SAS’s flagship experiential learning week, providing students opportunities to explore the world and themselves through immersive, hands-on experiences.

• Community Learning & Engagement: coordinating and leading high-impact service and community learning experiences that help students develop empathy, purpose, and global awareness through authentic partnerships.

Together, these responsibilities advance the SAS2027 Strategic Plan priorities of Extraordinary Care and Possibilities, ensuring that every student engages meaningfully with the world beyond the classroom.

This position will be on a 1-year initial contract.

Community Learning and Engagement (CLE) Leadership and Coordination

• Assist with the leadership of the High School Community Learning & Engagement (CLE) Program, aligning it with the PreK–12 CLE Framework.
• Support with the logistics and coordination of CLE-related units of study.
• Support with the logistics and coordination of student-led clubs and projects focused on service, sustainability, and advocacy.
• Build and sustain reciprocal partnerships with community organizations that provide authentic learning and service opportunities aligned to the curricular and co-curricular program
• Assist with coordinating the Experiential Education team (CWW, Risk Management, Interim) to align CLE goals with experiential learning priorities.
• Support and lead with the development and facilitation of professional learning and parent engagement sessions on CLE principles and best practices.
• Guide reflection, documentation, and evidence collection through student portfolios and exhibitions.
• Contribute to the celebration and communication of CLE achievements through storytelling campaigns, assemblies, and school events.
• Assist with the gathering and analysis of feedback and data  from students, faculty, and partners to monitor and evaluate CLE impact 

Interim Semester Coordination

• Support with all aspects of the High School Interim Semester Program, including planning, communication, and delivery.
• Develop a diverse range of local, regional, and international course offerings across global studies, community action, and eco-adventure strands.
• Support with logistics and planning for the teacher and student selection processes, ensuring equitable access and strong alignment with student safety and learning goals.
• Support with the coordination of logistics with internal teams (Communications, Business Office, Risk Management, IT, Health & Safety, and Student Support).
• Liaise with external vendors, including travel agents, insurance providers, and trip partners to ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality learning experiences.
• Provide support with the development and safety vetting of new trips including participating in trip reccies 
• Provide support with the management of program finances, including budget planning, cost balancing, and transparent reporting.
• Support the planning of faculty training sessions 
• Communicate proactively with families and students to build understanding, excitement, and trust in the program.
• Assist with the collection and analysis of participation data, feedback, and reflection outcomes to inform continuous program improvement.
