Reporting to the SVP, Peer Learning, Partnerships & Leadership Development, the Director/Senior Director of Recruitment plays a pivotal role in driving growth across The Health Management Academy’s Convening portfolio. This leader will design and execute strategies to re-engage inactive or lightly engaged members while also driving the acquisition of new member systems. The Director/Sr. Director will be accountable for clearly articulating and tracking progress against recruitment goals, leveraging a combination of relationship-building, strategic insight, and data-driven follow-through.
The ideal candidate is someone who builds trust quickly, communicates clearly, and manages relationships with rigor and accountability. Success depends on a deep understanding of member value, a consultative mindset, and the ability to align member needs with THMA’s offerings.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Develop and Execute a Recruitment Strategy: Build and implement comprehensive plans to increase attendance and engagement across assigned programs—targeting both reactivation of existing members and recruitment of new systems.
- →Drive Measurable Growth: Own performance metrics related to confirmations, attendance, and member conversion within your designated territory. Regularly report progress, challenges, and strategic pivots to leadership.
- →Re-Engage Disengaged Members: Identify patterns of inactivity or attrition and develop tailored re-engagement plans, leveraging warm outreach, personalized messaging, and onsite touchpoints to rebuild value perception.
- →Acquire New Members: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective systems, utilizing creative sourcing methods, warm referrals, and thought leadership content to expand reach within the CXO market.
- →Build Executive Relationships: Establish trust-based relationships with senior health system leaders through consultative dialogue, active listening, and a clear articulation of THMA’s value proposition.
- →Engage Members In-Person (THMA Events, External Conferences & Site Visits): Represent THMA at assigned forums, select industry conferences and travel for on-site meetings with member and prospect executives to deepen relationships, surface priorities in real time, and drive re-engagement and conversion.
- →Collaborate Across Convening Teams: Partner with Forum Directors, Member Success Associates, and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth hand-offs, consistent communication, and strong member experiences.
- →Leverage Market Insight: Stay current on industry priorities and organizational shifts within health systems to anticipate member needs and position THMA strategically in the market.
Requirements
~1 min read- 5+ years of sales experience in a sales, recruitment, or similar role
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and CXO priorities
- Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue goals and/or quotas
