Boring Operator

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Boring Operator in Abu Dhabi. Key Responsibilities Operate boring machines to perform precision machining work on engineering components. Set up machines, workpieces, cutting tools, and operating parameters according to job requirements. Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining specifications. Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy. Use appropriate measuring instruments to inspect completed components. Perform routine checks of machines and tooling before and during operation. Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Report machine abnormalities, tooling issues, and dimensional deviations to the responsible supervisor. Required Skills Boring Machine Operation — Ability to set up and operate boring machinery for precision machining. Engineering Drawing Interpretation — Ability to understand dimensions, tolerances, and machining specifications. Precision Measurement — Familiarity with measuring tools used to verify machined components. Machine Setup & Tooling — Understanding of workpiece positioning, tooling, and machining parameters. Safety Awareness — Ability to follow safe machining and workshop operating practices. Preferred Skills Experience in precision engineering or heavy engineering environments. Knowledge of preventive machine checks and basic troubleshooting. Familiarity with quality inspection procedures for machined components. Work Experience Requirements The posting does not specify an experience requirement. Typical requirement: prior hands-on experience operating boring or similar precision machining equipment is generally preferred for this type of position. Education Minimum: Typical — ITI / vocational qualification in Machining, Fitter, Turner, Mechanical trade, or equivalent practical training.
