Imports Executive – Documentation

Our client, a leading automobile company in Sri Lanka and sole agent for several reputed automobile brands, is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Imports Executive to join their team.

• →Handle import documents including shipping instructions, invoices, and customs clearance paperwork
• →Manage payment processes for import transactions through methods such as Documents against Payment (D/P), Documents against Acceptance (D/A), Letters of Credit (L/C), and Telegraphic Transfer (TT)
• →Coordinate effectively with banks, merchandising departments, and shipping agents to facilitate smooth operations
• →Arrange shipping guarantees, advance documents, and original shipping documents
• →Work closely with the finance department to arrange necessary funds for import shipments
• →Liaise with the bank wherever necessary regarding LC and other bank facilities

• Minimum 3–4 years' experience in a similar role
• A Degree or Diploma in Business Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Strong understanding of import documentation, payment processes, and shipping procedures
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
