Summary We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented professional to act as the first line of defense for inbound calls. This role goes beyond basic call handling, as you will be responsible for filtering, qualifying, and verifying potential customers to safeguard the business from fraud, low-quality leads, and risky transactions. Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to make real-time judgment calls are essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities Answer inbound calls professionally, confidently representing the company. Quickly assess the intent and legitimacy of each caller. Conduct real-time research using Google, LinkedIn, and company websites during or immediately after calls. Verify businesses and individuals claiming to represent larger organizations. Screen out low-quality or suspicious inquiries, such as small buyers requesting large credit terms. Route only qualified and legitimate opportunities to the sales team. Maintain detailed notes on each call, including qualification decisions and reasoning. Immediately flag any potential fraud or red flags. Requirements Requirements: Strong spoken English with a professional and confident tone. High level of critical thinking and situational awareness. Ability to quickly assess credibility and read between the lines. Preferred experience in customer service, call handling, or sales support. Strong research skills with fast and accurate online verification. Ability to multitask, handling calls while researching and evaluating. Comfortable making independent decisions without constant supervision. Nice to Have Experience in B2B sales or lead qualification. Familiarity with payment terms such as Net 30 or credit accounts. Experience identifying scams or fraudulent activity. What Success Looks Like The sales team receives only high-quality, verified opportunities. Noticeable reduction in unqualified or risky leads. Confident, efficient call handling with minimal unnecessary escalations.
