Join our Tampa headquarters as a Director of Claims and help lead a high-performing claims team through continued growth and innovation. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys leading people, building strong teams, and rolling up their sleeves to help solve complex challenges while keeping the bigger picture in focus.

• Lead claims operations to ensure consistent application of claim handling standards, coverage analysis, investigation practices, and resolution guidelines.
• Oversee claims processes, controls, and workflows to support accurate, timely, and compliant claims handling.
• Provide oversight and direction on complex and high-severity claims, including mediations and trials, in coordination with Legal.

• Support execution of litigation and negotiation approaches in alignment with Legal and senior leadership direction.
• Partner with Legal in the management of litigated claims, including coordination with defense counsel and case strategy execution
• Partner closely with Underwriting on trends, case law, and statutory impacts to product lines
• Support underwriting decisions through policy and submission reviews, as needed
• Stay current on legislation, regulations, and industry developments impacting claims

• Lead and develop claims leaders and teams responsible for claims handling functions.
• Support employee development through mentorship, coaching, and timely structured Progress & Growth conversations.
• Drive training initiatives in partnership with Training & Auditing to elevate claims capability
• Champion best practices, analytics‑driven decision‑making, and operational excellence across claims

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
• 8+ years of P&C homeowners claims experience
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing claims leaders and large teams
• Active Florida 6‑20 Resident All Lines Adjuster License
• Deep expertise in Florida insurance law and good‑faith claims handling
• Proven success overseeing complex claims, litigation strategy, and mediations
• Strong people‑leader with the ability to mentor, influence, and scale high‑performing teams
• Data‑driven, analytical approach with excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive‑level communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
