What We're Looking For:

An experienced HVAC Refrigeration Technician to execute chiller performance testing and tasks related thereto.

What You'll Do:

·       Test chillers according to engineering test plans, record the data required, and report on test results.

·       Troubleshoot chiller performance and operational issues (mechanical, electrical, controls, central plant)

·       Evacuate chillers according to company standards and troubleshoot leaks.

·       Refrigerant transfer to and from chillers, record exchanges for inventory control

·       Execute repairs, modifications, and upgrades according to Engineering specifications

·       Support 6S and department maintenance efforts

·       Other duties and responsibilities as required


What You'll Bring:

·       Refrigerant handling license: EPA 608, type II

·       Apprentice refrigeration mechanic license

·       Journeyman refrigeration mechanic license

·       Previous brazing experience

Core Competencies:

·       Ability to braze copper joints with an open flame torch

·       An understanding of evacuation and refrigerant transfer equipment and industry best practices

·       Attention to detail

·       Mechanical skills

·       Able to work alone

·       Working written/verbal communication skills (English)

·       Ability to multitask and adapt to a highly dynamic environment

·       Good reasoning skills and sound judgement
