MarketingPR Specialist

The Content & Communications Specialist is a creative marketing professional responsible for developing compelling content that strengthens brand awareness, engages target audiences, and supports business growth across Smartrend Manufacturing Group (SMG) and First Light Safety Products (FLSP).

This role strategizes, creates, publishes and reports on content across social media, websites, email campaigns, industry publications, marketing materials, press releases, media relations, product announcements and recruitment marketing. Working closely with Sales, Product, HR and other internal teams, the Content & Communications Specialist translates technical information, product knowledge and business priorities into clear, engaging content for our customers and audiences.

The successful candidate is a strong writer and communicator with experience in social media, content marketing and corporate communications. They bring creativity, attention to detail and the ability to understand our products and markets and turn that knowledge into meaningful, effective content

Responsibilities

  • →Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • →4+ years of experience in related fields
  • →Strong copywriting skills with a focus on engaging, story-driven content
  • →Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical
  • →Clear, professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • →Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong work ethic, creativity, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • →Demonstrated ability to transform data and information into clear and persuasive content
  • →Experienced in developing content strategies with tailored messaging for segmented audiences
  • →Knowledge of photography and video production considered an asset
  • →Ability to travel within Canada and the United States
