Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Columbia, IL
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Pay: $19.75 an hr
Shift: 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM (Monday to Thursday)

SMS Staffing is looking for experienced Machine Operators to join a manufacturing team near Columbia, IL! If you have at least 6 months of machine operating experience, this is your chance to put your skills to work, earn competitive pay, and enjoy a schedule that gives you Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off!

Requirements for the Machine Operator role:

● Set up, calibrate, operate, and monitor production machinery
● Fill, seal, and package liquid products with accuracy
● Perform machine adjustments, changeovers, diagnose and basic troubleshooting
● Conduct quality checks to ensure proper fill levels and product quality
● Use hand tools and measuring instruments as needed
● Maintain production records and follow work instructions
● Lift to 50 lbs regularly (occasionally 100+ lbs with assistance)

Qualifications for the Machine Operator role:

● At least 6 months machine operator experience required
● Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
● Ability to follow instructions and maintain quality standards
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on role
● Strong attention to detail and reliability
