This opportunity is in the Claims department
Our Claims Department oversees both high-exposure workers’ compensation and liability claims. As an unbundled carrier, we work actively with third-party administrators (TPAs) and self-administered accounts to assist in guiding claims to a successful resolution. As an excess carrier, the catastrophic claims we handle keep our group challenged, but the uniqueness provides plenty of growth opportunities.
Are you an experienced liability claims professional who thrives on navigating complex claims, developing effective resolution strategies, and building strong relationships? As a Liability Claims Manager at Safety National, you will play a critical role in overseeing high-exposure liability claims, providing strategic direction, and ensuring exceptional claims outcomes for our clients and business partners.
In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise, analytical abilities, and sound judgment to manage a portfolio of complex liability claims involving excess and large deductible insurance programs. You will collaborate closely with third-party administrators, defense counsel, policyholders, brokers, and internal business partners to evaluate exposures, develop proactive claims strategies, and achieve timely, cost-effective resolutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee a portfolio of complex, high-exposure liability claims, including general liability, automobile liability, and other casualty-related exposures.
- Evaluate coverage, liability, damages, and potential exposures to develop and execute effective claims management strategies.
- Provide oversight and direction to third-party administrators and defense counsel to ensure claims are investigated, evaluated, reserved, and resolved appropriately.
- Analyze claim developments, litigation strategies, settlement opportunities, and potential financial impacts to protect the company's interests.
- Establish, evaluate, and maintain appropriate claim reserves based on exposure assessments and emerging developments.
- Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and claim reviews to facilitate favorable outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal underwriting, actuarial, legal, and other business partners to communicate claim trends, emerging risks, and significant developments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with policyholders, brokers, TPAs, and other stakeholders through responsive communication and consultative claims management.
- Monitor TPA performance, adherence to claims handling guidelines, and compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve claims processes, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen overall claims outcomes.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and expertise to claims professionals and other stakeholders as needed.
- Prepare and present comprehensive claim evaluations, exposure analyses, and recommendations to senior claims leadership.
- Your ability to balance technical claims expertise with relationship management and strategic decision-making will be essential to your success.
- You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with experienced professionals who value collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
