About the position
The Global Banking Technology and Operations (GBTO) department is responsible for back-office systems development globally, which supports front-office trading activity in North America, Europe, and Asia. Our group provides regulatory reporting tools, calculation engines, and other applications necessary for successful post-trade reporting.
Our team (PRE/CEQ), Pricer Risk Engine / Calculator for Equities) is designing, deploying and supporting Global applications for Equity pricing chain. The current role is based in Montreal and the resource will join a team of 4 members.
The team in Montreal is working on a major application for Societe Generale in order to provide functional and technical support to our Business partners from Front Office and Risk department.
What will be your day-to-day?
In this context, you will oversee the following missions:
- You will monitor and take appropriate actions required to ensure CEQ global platform runs properly
- You will ensure service continuity with Paris and Bangalore teams
- You will contribute in improving Business partners relationship, by proposition technical or functional solutions
- You will ensure that the agile and continuous delivery methodology is followed
- You will coordinate and carry out the phases in the different environments and present the test results to users
What does it take to get the job?
- You have at least one experience in a financial institution as Software Engineer
- You can read / update shell scripts and unix commands
You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, commitments and projects.
- You are comfortable acting as the point of contact for Paris and Bangalore support teams
- You have a strong desire to learn and contribute solutions and ideas to the team
The Functional and Technical Skills:
- Knowledge in Investment Banking
- Knowledge of SQL and ability to read and produce queries / stored procedures
The bonus skills:
- Knowledge of US or international financial regulations
- Experience with concepts and literature related to Financial products and pricing
LANGUAGE:
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
