Delta One Trader

Responsibilities:

• Manage the India Delta One Book in HK in collaboration with Paris Delta One team
• Active trading of the onshore and offshore book across index futures, single stock futures, FX forwards, swaps
• Price and hedge client index swap business
• Cash management to fund the activities of the desk
• Corporate actions trading, Index reshuffle management 
• Improve trading platform, global collaboration on tools and training of junior staff.
• Strict respect of the bank risk limits (Markets, Credit.)
• Operate in a very transparent manner and promptly escalate issues
• Operate within desk trading mandate
• Adhere to the bank code of conduct and desk trading guidelines

Profile Requirements:

• Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology or similar 
• Proven track record in managing an India D1 book 
• Strong Programming skills are required 
• Able to work under pressure and deal with exposure to risk 
• Result oriented, determined and able to make reliable decisions 
• Fluent English is mandatory 

This is an in-scope position under the MRC Scheme. As per the Guidelines on the Mandatory Reference Checking (MRC) Scheme issued by HKAB, which have been endorsed by the HKMA, Authorized Institutions that are hiring staff for Relevant Positions need to obtain specific references from past employers for whom you have worked during the preceding seven years.

Department Description

Delta One Trading is part of the Equity Derivatives department responsible for providing Indexation to Societe Generale's client base across Asia Pacific. The range of product covered are Futures, swaps, ETFs. We provide liquidity to the market on OTC and listed products (index and single stock derivatives), optimize inventory, funding and index tracking.
