The Regional Director, Country is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of Soho House properties in the UK.

As the senior operational leader across the portfolio, this role is responsible for ensuring each House delivers an exceptional member and guest experience, strong commercial performance and a consistently high standard of hospitality, while retaining the individual character and identity that makes each House unique.

Reporting into the Managing Director, UK & EU, the Country Director will lead and develop the senior leadership teams within each House, creating a high-performing culture built around accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring someone who can balance strategic thinking with operational excellence. The successful candidate will understand how to lead multiple complex hospitality businesses, develop exceptional leaders, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure the Houses are performing commercially, operationally and culturally.

  • Provide clear leadership, direction and support to the senior teams across the houses listed.
  • Build high-performing leadership teams with a strong focus on succession planning, internal development and retaining exceptional talent.
  • Coach and develop House senior leaders, ensuring they have the capability, confidence and support to lead their businesses successfully.
  • Create a culture of accountability, ownership and collaboration across the Houses.
  • Partner closely with People & Development to ensure the Houses are appropriately structured, resourced and developed to meet both current and future business needs.
  • Identify high-potential talent and create opportunities for progression across the UK and wider Soho House business.
  • Lead by example and act as a visible ambassador for Soho House culture, values and standards.
  • Ensure every House consistently delivers an exceptional member and guest experience in line with Soho House standards.
  • Work closely with House leadership teams to identify opportunities to improve service, operational performance and overall standards.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the day-to-day operation of each House while empowering local leadership teams to take ownership of their businesses.
  • Ensure operational consistency across the portfolio while recognising and protecting the individual identity and character of each House.
  • Regularly review performance, guest and member feedback and operational metrics to identify trends, challenges and opportunities.
  • Support House leadership teams in resolving complex operational issues and making informed decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all areas of the business.
  • Take overall responsibility for the commercial and financial performance of the houses.
  • Work closely with House General Manager, Finance and senior leadership to deliver budgets, forecasts and business plans.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve profitability and drive sustainable growth.
  • Challenge performance where necessary and ensure clear action plans are in place to address underperformance.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the commercial drivers within each House, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Membership and other revenue streams where applicable.
  • Ensure labour, cost control and productivity are effectively managed while protecting the quality of the member and guest experience.
  • Ensure the member experience remains at the centre of decision-making across all Houses.
  • Work with Membership, Operations and House leadership teams to understand the needs of the local membership communities.
  • Drive consistently high standards of hospitality, service and product across the Houses.
  • Review feedback and performance trends to identify opportunities to enhance the overall experience.
  • Ensure each House remains relevant to its local community while delivering the Soho House experience and brand standards.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders across Operations, Membership, People & Development, Finance, Food & Beverage and other central functions.
  • Act as the key link between House leadership teams and the wider business.
  • Represent the Houses at senior leadership meetings and contribute to wider business discussions and decisions.
  • Work collaboratively across the business to solve problems, remove barriers and deliver shared objectives.
  • Significant senior operational leadership experience within luxury hospitality, lifestyle, hotels, members' clubs or a similarly complex multi-site business.
  • Proven experience leading multiple locations or a significant regional portfolio.
  • A strong commercial and financial understanding, with experience managing P&Ls, budgets and business performance.
  • An exceptional people leader with a proven ability to build, develop and retain high-performing leadership teams.
  • Someone who can operate strategically while remaining closely connected to the reality of the operation.
  • A strong understanding of luxury hospitality and what it takes to consistently deliver an exceptional guest and member experience.
  • Comfortable managing complex and varied businesses, with the ability to adapt their approach to the needs of individual locations.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to build strong relationships across multiple functions and levels of seniority.
  • Comfortable challenging constructively and holding leaders accountable for performance.
  • A natural problem solver who remains calm and decisive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK Houses outside of London.
