Programmer Machinist (25-30/hr + PTO/Benefits)

  Operate multiple machines as required, monitor equipment performance, measure and record required dimensions and production data  

• →

  Interpret blueprints, machining instructions, and engineered drawings to determine machining methods and ensure components meet specified requirements 

• →

  Identify, obtain, or recommend cutting tools and fixtures needed to achieve specified dimensions and tolerances 

• →

  Secure workpieces in fixtures, presses, or machine mounts and position gaging equipment to support consistent, repeatable production 

• →

  Set and adjust feed rates, rotational speeds, and machine settings for CNC Swiss Mill operations, using appropriate hand tools as needed 

• →

  Inspect and validate machined components against specifications using micrometers, gauges, inspection fixtures, and an involute checker when available; record required dimensional data 

• →

  Calculate machining dimensions using shop mathematics to maintain part accuracy and repeatability 

• →

  Machine plastic and other nonmetallic materials when required, following applicable departmental procedures and production specifications 

• Proficiency in CNC machine programming, setup, and operation using FANUC controls and G and M codes 

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, machining instructions, and machine operating requirements 

• Knowledge of indexable tooling, boring tools, gauges, and inspection fixtures 

• Strong mathematical skills to calculate finished dimensions 

• Ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels, work collaboratively, and meet production deadlines or promptly communicate schedule risks. 

• Experience with custom or production machining involving different materials, products, and component sizes. 

• Experience with Haas-Robo Drill, Tsugami Swiss, Mazak, or comparable CNC machines.
