About the Role: The client is moving beyond basic bookkeeping. As the group scales towards its third location and prepares for future debt and equity fundraising, they need a strategic financial partner to bring their accounting in-house. This isn't just about cleaning up books; it’s about creating "investor-ready" financials. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between daily transactional accuracy and high-level strategic forecasting, providing the leadership team with the visibility needed to secure capital and manage cash flow across multiple units.

​​​​​​​Key Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage daily updates in QBO, including categorization, reconciliations, and month-end closing for multiple locations.

• Strategic Reporting: Create and maintain weekly performance reports and dashboards via Google Sheets to track unit-level profitability.

• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Develop and maintain 3–12 month rolling forecasts, tracking budget vs. actual variances to guide expansion decisions.

• Investor Relations: Prepare professional financial statements and pitch-ready data for banks and potential investors to support capital raises.

• Operational Finance: Manage AP/AR, handle sales tax filings, and reconcile complex food delivery platform settlements (Uber Eats, DoorDash) and catering invoices.

• Process Automation: Utilize AI tools and modern tech stacks to enhance forecasting accuracy (e.g., integrating external data like weather patterns to predict sales).

Qualifications & Skills

Hard Skills

• Technical Accounting: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Google Suite.

• Industry Experience: Mandatory experience in Restaurant/Hospitality accounting, specifically dealing with COGS and delivery app reconciliations.

• Financial Modeling: Proven ability to build complex forecasting models and "investor-ready" financial packages.

• Tech Stack: Familiarity with AI tools for financial analysis and API-driven dashboards is a significant plus.

Soft Skills

• Autonomous Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a remote environment and take full ownership of the finance department.
