About the Role

We partner with high-growth consumer brands to build modern finance organizations. We combine accounting, FP&A, treasury management, financial modeling, and operational finance into a single finance function that gives founders real-time visibility into their business.

We’re looking for an Accounting Operations Manager (or Senior Accountant, depending on experience) who is excited to build, improve, and own accounting operations—not simply maintain an existing process. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured yet evolving environment. As we continue to build and refine our accounting function, you’ll play a key role in designing scalable accounting processes, leading weekly and monthly close cycles, managing day-to-day treasury operations, and partnering closely with our FP&A team to deliver accurate financial reporting and actionable financial insights to our clients.

A significant part of this role will involve leading accounting transition projects, including reviewing and recasting historical accounting transactions into redesigned Charts of Accounts to establish clean, scalable financial foundations. This work requires strong analytical skills, sound accounting judgment, and the ability to bring structure to complex or ambiguous historical data.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Own the accounting function across assigned client engagements from day-to-day operations through monthly financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate general ledgers, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and ensure timely completion of all recurring accounting deliverables.
  • Lead accounting cleanup projects, Chart of Accounts redesigns, and historical transaction recasts while preserving the integrity of financial reporting.
Weekly & Monthly Close
  • Own both the weekly and month-end close processes across assigned clients.
  • Ensure transactions are accurately categorized, reconciliations are completed, and financial data remains current throughout the month.
  • Help establish a disciplined weekly close cadence that provides clients with near real-time financial visibility.
Treasury Operations
  • Serve as the day-to-day owner of treasury operations.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bill payments, corporate credit cards, debt servicing, bank reconciliations, and cash management activities.
  • Maintain accurate short-term cash visibility and support rolling cash forecasts alongside the FP&A team.
  • Respond to client treasury requests promptly while ensuring accuracy, organization, and strong internal controls.
Client Support
  • Serve as the primary accounting contact for assigned clients.
  • Provide timely, professional support for accounting and treasury-related questions.
  • Coordinate with client teams to ensure accounting information is received accurately and on schedule.
  • Build trusted relationships by delivering exceptional responsiveness, communication, and follow-through.
Process Improvement & Systems
  • Design, document, and continuously improve accounting processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve efficiency through technology and systems.
  • Build scalable accounting processes that can support rapidly growing organizations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the accounting operating model and best practices.
Financial Partnership
  • Partner closely with the FP&A team to ensure accounting outputs effectively support budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting.
  • Help ensure financial information is timely, accurate, and actionable for both internal teams and clients.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
  • Takes ownership of the accounting function and consistently follows through on commitments.
  • Has experience building, improving, or implementing accounting processes, controls, and operating procedures rather than simply maintaining existing ones.
  • Is comfortable working in an environment where not every process is fully defined and can create clarity through structured thinking, sound judgment, and initiative.
  • Has experience reviewing, mapping, and recasting historical accounting transactions into revised Charts of Accounts while preserving the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Has hands-on experience managing treasury operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bill payments, corporate credit cards, debt servicing, cash management, and bank reconciliations.
  • Has experience owning both weekly and monthly close processes.
  • Enjoys building scalable accounting systems and documenting repeatable operating procedures.
  • Has a systems mindset and is genuinely interested in leveraging technology, automation, and AI to improve accounting operations.
  • Works collaboratively with finance, FP&A, and client teams.
  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional judgment.
  • Can successfully manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality, responsiveness, and accuracy.
  • Is proactive, dependable, adaptable, and able to prioritize effectively with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA (preferred but not required).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (flexible depending on candidate).
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar cloud accounting platforms.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Experience implementing accounting processes or supporting system migrations.
  • Experience working with multiple entities or clients is a plus.
  • Experience with inventory accounting, consumer products, manufacturing, or e-commerce businesses is helpful but not required.
What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you’ll have:
  • Built a consistent weekly close process that provides clients with near real-time financial visibility.
  • Established scalable month-end close procedures across multiple client engagements.
  • Successfully completed accounting cleanup and Chart of Accounts transition projects.
  • Built standardized operating procedures that improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Become the trusted accounting and treasury partner for your clients.
  • Partnered seamlessly with the FP&A team to deliver timely financial reporting, budgeting support, and actionable financial insights.
  • Helped build the accounting foundation that allows us to scale while maintaining exceptional quality and client service.
