Our client is a certified woman-owned small business providing end-to-end mission-critical aviation services, including aircraft leasing, ISR configuration, program management, and logistics support for government and commercial clients worldwide.

 

They are seeking an AI Data Engineer to help build and scale their internal AI infrastructure while automating business processes across multiple departments. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining data engineering, AI technologies, and workflow automation to improve operational efficiency.

 

The AI Automation Engineer will serve as the organization's technical lead for artificial intelligence initiatives, helping design, implement, and maintain AI-powered solutions that streamline operations and improve productivity.

The ideal candidate will build automation workflows, develop and maintain the company's AI ecosystem, and act as the primary resource for AI and data-related initiatives. This role requires someone who enjoys solving operational challenges through technology and is comfortable working across multiple business functions.

 

Responsibilities

AI Infrastructure & Development

  • Design, build, and maintain the company's AI infrastructure and internal AI ecosystem
  • Develop scalable AI-powered solutions that improve operational efficiency
  • Evaluate and implement new AI technologies and tools as business needs evolve
  • Support the ongoing development and expansion of the organization's AI capabilities
  • Help evolve and optimize existing AI platforms and internal AI assistants

Workflow Automation

  • Design and implement automated workflows to eliminate repetitive manual tasks
  • Automate business processes including:
    • Scheduling
    • Data entry
    • Travel coordination
    • Administrative workflows
    • Operational reporting
  • Identify additional opportunities to improve efficiency through automation
  • Monitor and continuously improve automated processes

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the organization's primary point of contact for AI and automation initiatives
  • Recommend new technologies that improve business operations
  • Troubleshoot AI-related issues and optimize existing solutions
  • Document AI workflows, processes, and technical solutions
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on AI best practices

Personal Assistance

  • Assist with occasional personal administrative tasks
  • Coordinate personal appointments and scheduling when needed
  • Support travel logistics and miscellaneous personal requests while maintaining confidentiality
 

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in AI Engineering, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with Claude (Claude for Work/Cowork) building AI workflows, assistants, or automations
  • Experience building workflow automation solutions
  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and modern AI tools
  • Experience working with APIs and system integrations
  • Strong data management and analytical skills
  • Experience developing scalable technical solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical initiatives simultaneously
  • Passion for leveraging AI to solve business problems
 
  • Experience with AI assistants and large language models (LLMs)
  • Experience with workflow automation platforms
  • Experience integrating multiple business systems and APIs
  • Familiarity with cloud-based AI services
  • Experience building internal productivity tools
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or SQL
  • Experience supporting operational or administrative process automation
  • Background working in government, aviation, logistics, or highly regulated industries
 
  • Experience with the following is preferred:
