Our client is a Health and Life Insurance Broker focused on helping individuals find the right coverage through a consultative, high-touch sales process. They are seeking a dedicated Appointment Setter to support their book of business by handling high-volume outreach and scheduling qualified prospects directly onto their calendar.
This is a pure appointment-setting role—no closing required. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, phone- and SMS-heavy environment, can move quickly through lead lists, and is skilled at creating strong first impressions that lead to booked meetings.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Conduct high-volume outbound calling and SMS outreach to warm and purchased leads
- →Engage prospects quickly and confidently to secure scheduled appointments
- →Gather basic client information (name, DOB, address, phone, etc.)
- →Collect light qualifying details to help guide plan fit (no underwriting or disqualification)
- →Book appointments directly onto the broker’s calendar with clean handoffs
- →Maintain a simple, efficient pitch focused on getting prospects scheduled
- →Work exclusively within one broker’s book of business
- →Track activity and manage follow-ups within the CRM
- →Maintain consistent daily outreach volume and performance metrics
Requirements
~1 min read- 2–5 years of experience in appointment setting, sales development, or outbound sales
- Strong phone presence and confidence in high-volume calling environments
- Comfortable with SMS-based communication and fast response times
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up habits
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Results-driven with a focus on booking meetings, not selling
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Health or life insurance industry exposure
- Experience working with purchased lead sources (QuoteWizard, etc.)
- Familiarity with VanillaSoft dialing systems
- Experience using Ringy CRM
- Exposure to NextGen or Benepath lead systems
- Monday–Friday
- Must start at 8:00 AM EST
- Split shift preferred:
- 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST (core hours)
- Flexible afternoon/evening hours (e.g., 1:00–5:00 PM or 2:00–6:00 PM EST)
- ~40 hours per week
- CRM/Communication: Ringy (primary), SMS-heavy outreach
- Dialer/Leads: VanillaSoft with purchased leads (primarily QuoteWizard + other vendors)
- Consistent flow of purchased leads
- Established systems and dialing infrastructure
- Clear expectations and streamlined booking process
- Remote-first work environment (broker is primarily WFH)
- Focused role with no closing responsibilities
