We're looking for a detail-oriented legal professional to join a US-based land services team as a remote.Property Law Research Associate. You'll spend most of your time researching property and land records online, reviewing legal documents such as deeds and county records, analyzing ownership interests, and turning your findings into clear, structured reports for clients.
This is a high-volume, execution-focused role. You'll manage multiple active research tasks at once, maintain consistently high accuracy, and meet daily and weekly deadlines. Prior experience with mineral rights or title research is a plus but not required. What matters most is that you can process large volumes of legal documents efficiently, stay organized, and deliver reliable work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research county and land records using online databases to verify property details, ownership, and related interests.
- Review and interpret deeds, conveyance documents, and other legal instruments; identify and clarify ownership interests as needed.
- Conduct document-level legal analysis and flag inconsistencies, gaps, or issues for escalation.
- Synthesize research findings into structured, client-ready reports and internal briefs.
- Maintain organized workpapers, citations, and document versions using Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Manage multiple active research tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Work independently and asynchronously with a US-based team; communicate clearly in writing and escalate issues promptly.
Qualifications (Required):
- 2+ years of experience in legal support, legal research, or document-intensive legal work (civil law, immigration, compliance, or similar fields acceptable).
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of cases or documents with strong attention to detail and consistently high accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
- Licensed attorney in home jurisdiction (e.g., Bar admission, OAB, LPC, IBP, or equivalent legal licensure in Latin America, Philippines, or South Africa).
Nice to Haves:
- Experience preparing structured legal reports, summaries, or case analyses for internal or client use.
- Background in contract review, document-heavy environments, or research-intensive legal work.
- Exposure to property-related matters such as land records review, conveyance/ownership analysis, title research, or real estate due diligence.
