About the Role
~1 min readI am a Shopify consultant managing high-stakes e-commerce stores for clients with general shipping needs (e.g., perishable meats, high-end art). I am looking for a highly organized, "Type A" Operations Partner to act as my right hand.
This is not a "robot-like" task-following role. I need a critical thinker who is proactive and obsessed with accuracy and comfortable handling change and dealing with multiple clients. Your goal is to give me more hours in my day by ensuring that every detail—from social media flyers to Shopify product listings—is 100% accurate before it reaches me or the client.
Responsibilities
~1 min read1. Quality Assurance & Brand Guarding (Priority #1)
- →Creative Review: Review weekly design batches from our social media agency for a theater client (flyers/posts).
- →Accuracy Check: Verify that every date, time, cost, and location on the designs matches the source data.
- →Zero-Error Policy: Ensure there are zero spelling mistakes and that all content is strictly on-brand. You are the final line of defense before content goes live.
2. Shopify & E-commerce Operations
- →Product Management: Create and update products in Shopify with extreme attention to detail (names, descriptions, tags, and images).
- →Data Organization: Take "messy" personal notes regarding product measurements, weights, and shipping bundles and organize them into professional, client-ready Excel sheets.
- →Platform Updates: Manually update showtimes and event details across various third-party theater listing websites (Theater Around Me, etc.).
3. Proactive Marketing Support
- →Campaign Coordination: When given an upcoming event, proactively research and draft a promotion plan using AI tools (Claude/ChatGPT).
- →Content Execution: Draft social media captions, paid ad copy, and email templates based on our established tone of voice.
- →Agency Liaison: Coordinate with the social media agency to ensure they have the assets and instructions needed for upcoming campaigns.
Requirements
~1 min readREQUIRED
- Type A Personality: You are naturally organized, structured, and detail-oriented. You find satisfaction in catching errors that others miss.
- Invisible Execution: The ability to work within a "General Assistant" Gmail account and manage tasks so seamlessly that you remain "invisible" to the end client.
- Proactivity: You create a step-by-step plan of what needs to be done and execute it. You see an event on the calendar and ask, "How should we promote this?"
- Communication: Crisp, clear, and professional written English.
- Resourcefulness: If you don't know a tool (like Shopify), you are the type of person who will watch a YouTube tutorial or a Loom video and master it quickly.
PREFERRED
- Shopify Experience: Basic knowledge of the Shopify backend.
- AI Tooling: Experience using Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini to draft marketing copy and brainstorm ideas.
- Design Literacy: Ability to use Canva for light tweaks or at least understand brand aesthetics.
- The "Quality Controller": You hate inaccuracy. You would be embarrassed to send a document with a typo or a wrong date.
- Self-Teacher: You are tech-savvy and comfortable learning the G Suite, Shopify, and various marketing platforms via video tutorials.
- High-Level Assistant: You want to be a partner in a growing consultancy, not just an order-taker.
- Flexibility: Work hours are flexible. I do not require you to work US East Coast hours, provided the work is completed accurately and deadlines are met.
- Quality over Presence: I care more about the accuracy of your output than the specific time you are sitting at your desk.
- Give an example of a time you caught a significant error before it reached a client. How did you handle it?
- How do you use AI tools (like ChatGPT or Claude) to improve your daily workflow or creative output?
- If I gave you a 10-minute Loom video on a task you’ve never done before, what is your process for ensuring you execute it perfectly the first time?
