Location: Remote — Latin America, South Africa, or Philippines
Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours Overlap Required
The client builds high-performing, proprietary technology solutions generating approximately $600K–$700K in monthly revenue. The company operates as a lean, agile team of approximately seven people and is focused on scaling rapidly without unnecessary bureaucracy.
The client is seeking a high-agency Business Operations Manager who can take ownership of operational challenges, drive projects independently, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
This is not a traditional administrative or Executive Assistant role. It is primarily an operations and project management position for a strong startup generalist.
The Business Operations Manager will serve as the operational connective tissue across the business, owning recurring processes, developing and improving SOPs, coordinating cross-functional projects, managing vendors, and resolving operational roadblocks.
The ideal candidate can take an open-ended goal or problem, determine the required steps, coordinate with the appropriate people, make sound decisions, and execute without needing step-by-step instructions.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Take ownership of founder-led projects, operational goals, and unexpected challenges from start to completion.
- Coordinate with internal team members, technical teams, and external contractors to keep projects on track.
- Investigate operational issues, process failures, and business bottlenecks and independently develop and implement solutions.
- Create, document, audit, and continuously improve internal SOPs.
- Manage vendor communications, software tools, contractor workflows, and hiring/onboarding logistics.
- Handle core business administration, including platform payouts, Mercury wire transfers, and manual financial processes when required.
- Proactively remove operational bottlenecks and miscellaneous projects from the co-founders’ workload.
- Make practical, well-informed decisions in ambiguous situations without relying on micromanagement.
Requirements

- Comfortable with Ambiguity: Thrives in a lean, fast-moving startup where priorities can change quickly.
- Tech-Literate: Comfortable learning new software, custom dashboards, fintech platforms such as Mercury, Slack, and project management tools.
- 3–5+ years of experience in Operations Management, Business Operations, Startup Generalist, or Operations Coordination roles.
- Experience within a tech company, SaaS startup, or high-growth digital business is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written English with a polished and professional communication style.
