With multiple care homes currently in operation and continued expansion through acquisitions, the business is investing in building a robust finance function capable of supporting long-term growth, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making.

Working directly alongside the Director, this role plays a pivotal part in maintaining financial controls and delivering strategic insight across the group.

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior, Philippines-based Management Accountant / Finance Manager who thrives in a growing, multi-entity business.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role responsible for producing accurate monthly management accounts, overseeing sales/purchase ledgers, managing cash flow forecasting, supporting UK payroll processes, and delivering variance analysis for executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Management Accounting & Group Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple care home entities; deliver variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and cash flow forecasts.
• Ledger Management (AP & AR): Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring accurate billing across NHS, local authority, and private funding sources while maintaining tight credit control.
• Payroll & Compliance Support: Coordinate monthly UK payroll data (starters, leavers, adjustments) and support year-end audit/statutory compliance preparation.
• Budgeting, Forecasting & KPIs: Build financial models and reporting dashboards (Power BI / Excel) to monitor care home occupancy, agency staffing expenditure, and overall site profitability.
• Process Improvement: Automate reporting workflows, implement Purchase Order controls, and leverage modern software/AI tools to increase finance team efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years of hands-on management accounting or finance management experience (prior exposure to UK accounting standards, healthcare, or multi-entity business models strongly preferred).
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, financial modeling, complex formulas), Xero/QuickBooks, and experience with reporting tools like Power BI or Google Sheets.
• Accounting Credentials: CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification (or qualified-by-experience with a proven track record).
• Communication & Setup: Exceptional written and spoken English, strong commercial acumen, full alignment with UK business hours, and a dedicated home office setup.
