Make month-end adjustments and finalize close.

Deliver weekly and monthly financial reporting.

Build all forecasts, KPIs, dashboards, and budgets.
- →
Ensure COGS and labor reporting accuracy — essential in restaurant finance.

Daily/weekly categorization of transactions.
- →
Bank and credit card reconciliations.
- →
Vendor bill entry and receipt management.
- →
Draft monthly close files for review.
- →
POS deposit matching and cleanup.

Build and maintain 12-month rolling forecasts for both businesses.

Lead annual budgeting across revenue, labor models, COGS, overhead, and capital planning.

Conduct scenario analyses (e.g., additional operating days, menu price changes, staffing shifts).

Develop financial dashboards for Owner and GM.
-
Deliver weekly flash reports: sales, labor %, COGS %, prime costs, cash trends, variances.

Complete accurate monthly close within 10 days.

Prepare monthly financial package: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, KPI commentary.

Reconcile results against POS, payroll, inventory, and vendor activity.

Build and oversee 8–12-week cash flow forecasts.

Maintain SBA loan amortization schedules, seller notes, and debt service projections.
-
Prepare lender-required financial reporting and ensure covenant compliance.

Advise on capital allocation, reserves, and retained earnings strategy.

Oversee payroll accuracy for both businesses, including:

Hours, overtime, tips, PTO, adjustments.

Approval and monthly reconciliation.

Own integrations between POS (Aloha/Toast/FareHarbor), payroll, MarginEdge, and QBO.
-
Maintain labor codes, job categories, tip structures, and reporting fields.
-
Build a robust COGS reporting framework for Stone House Café.

Audit vendor invoices and monitor price changes.
-
Oversee inventory processes and theoretical vs. actual food cost analysis.
-
Recommend vendor optimization and purchasing efficiencies.
-
Build labor models by role, daypart, and season.
-
Track labor efficiency, productivity, and server-to-cover ratios.
-
Support GM with schedule planning aligned to sales forecasts.

Audit overtime, breaks, and compliance as needed.

Conduct quarterly menu engineering:

Recommend pricing changes, portion controls, and product mix improvements.

Implement financial controls across cash handling, comps/voids, tips, vendor payments, and inventory.

Review POS reports daily for irregularities.

Maintain audit-ready files for CPA and lenders.
-
Support tax, legal, and compliance workflows.
-
Meet weekly with Ownership and GM to review performance, risks, and opportunities.

Provide proactive recommendations — not just reporting.

Train operational leaders on financial literacy as needed.
-
Assist with future HoldCo entities or new business lines.
-
CFO focuses on analysis, strategy, accuracy, and operational insight — not clerical work.

Books remain timely, accurate, and meaningful for operational decisions.
-
Avoid unnecessary systems like U.S. EOR payroll or high-cost bookkeeping.
-
5–10+ years in finance roles: Controller, FP&A, CFO, Senior Analyst.
-
Hospitality/restaurant/tourism or multi-entity SMB experience highly preferred.

Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, payroll systems, and POS integrations.

Experience with MarginEdge is ideal.
-
Strong financial modeling and forecasting ability.
-
Excellent written communication and ability to present insights clearly.
-
Must have overlapping availability with U.S. Pacific Time.

Highly proactive and anticipatory — identifies risks before they surface.
