About the Role
~1 min readWe are hiring a Chief of Staff to the CEO to serve as the CEO’s operational right hand.
This is not a traditional Executive Assistant role focused on task execution alone. This is an operational leadership position responsible for running systems, managing priorities, making judgment calls, and ensuring the business continues moving forward — even when the CEO is heads-down or unavailable.
The CEO is a visionary-style leader who moves quickly, communicates in short bursts (often via voice notes), and expects outcomes rather than step-by-step instructions. You will often receive partial context and be expected to turn it into completed work.
You will work closely with a team of approximately 15 people and coordinate across internal staff, freelancers, and contractors.

Manage the CEO’s inbox (email, LinkedIn, internal communications)

Draft responses in the CEO’s voice and flag high-priority items

Own calendar management — protect deep work and push back on low-value meetings

Manage task systems (Asana) and follow up on stalled items

Provide daily and weekly briefings summarizing priorities and risks

Own hiring workflows end-to-end for multiple roles

Manage candidate pipelines and interview scheduling

Coordinate skills tests and candidate communication

Liaise with recruiters

CEO participates only in final interviews — you manage everything else

Lead internal team meetings and keep discussions focused and actionable

Hold team members and freelancers accountable to deliverables

Maintain scorecards and operational dashboards

Manage contractors and freelance resources

Coordinate travel, logistics, and conference planning

Handle personal administrative tasks (returns, bookings, logistics)

Organize gifts for team members, partners, and creators

Remove all non-essential friction from the CEO’s day-to-day life

Manage the CEO’s content schedule (LinkedIn and company social channels)

Coordinate with designers and video editors

Ensure deadlines and publishing commitments are met

Inbox is fully owned — CEO reviews and approves drafts instead of writing from scratch

Hiring processes run independently

Calendar is structured, protected, and intentional

You make judgment calls on lower-risk decisions and inform the CEO afterward

CEO is no longer acting as day-to-day operator

You surface risks before they become problems

You push back when priorities drift

Requirements
