As the company expands its business development efforts, they are seeking a Clay Automation & Lead Generation Specialist to build scalable lead generation systems, automate prospecting workflows, and deliver highly qualified prospect lists to support their growing outbound sales team.
The Clay Automation & Lead Generation Specialist will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing automated lead generation workflows using Clay and a variety of enrichment platforms. This role combines technical workflow automation, prospect research, data enrichment, and quality assurance to consistently deliver high-quality prospect lists.
The ideal candidate has experience building sophisticated Clay workflows, enjoys solving data challenges, and understands how to maximize contact quality while minimizing enrichment costs.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Build, maintain, and optimize Clay workflows and enrichment waterfalls
- Design scalable automation processes for lead sourcing and enrichment
- Continuously improve workflow efficiency, accuracy, and data quality
- Identify opportunities to automate manual prospecting tasks
- Source companies that match the organization's ideal customer profile (ICP)
- Research and identify business owners and key decision-makers
- Build targeted prospect lists for outbound business development campaigns
- Deliver 50–100 vetted, high-quality leads each month to support the internal business development team
- Enrich prospect records using multiple third-party data providers
- Utilize tools such as:
- Clay
- Wiza
- People Data Labs
- ContactOut
- Prospeo
- Datagma
- Additional enrichment platforms as needed
- Validate contact information and improve overall data completeness
- Clean, deduplicate, and quality-check prospect databases
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all prospect records
- Maintain organized datasets for outbound campaigns
- Push completed prospect lists into outbound platforms and CRM systems
- Support ongoing database maintenance and optimization
- Monitor enrichment costs and workflow performance
- Optimize processes to improve contact rates while reducing operational expenses
- Stay current with emerging lead generation tools and best practices
- Recommend improvements to prospecting strategies and automation workflows
Requirements
~1 min read- 2–5 years of experience in lead generation, sales operations, revenue operations, or data enrichment
- Hands-on experience building workflows in Clay
- Experience sourcing B2B companies and identifying decision-makers
- Strong understanding of lead enrichment methodologies
- Experience working with multiple data providers and enrichment tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently
