Our client is a boutique legal recruiting firm specializing in placing attorneys into top-tier (“BigLaw”) firms. Founded by a former BigLaw litigator, the business operates with a strong emphasis on quality, precision, and high-touch candidate marketing.

The team is lean and founder-led, with a focus on delivering highly polished outreach and candidate submissions. The business is now scaling its outbound efforts and requires a dedicated expert to own and elevate this function.

Role Overview

This role sits at the intersection of marketing operations, cold outreach, and copywriting. You will take full ownership of outbound recruiting campaigns, candidate outreach, and submission materials.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and hands-on executor—capable of running cold email campaigns at scale while producing high-quality, nuanced written communication.

Key Responsibilities

Cold Email Campaign Management
  • Build and manage targeted outreach campaigns using tools like Instantly
  • Segment lists, run A/B tests, and optimize performance
  • Manage multiple inboxes and monitor deliverability and response rates
Candidate Outreach & Pipeline Generation
  • Execute cold outreach to prospective candidates
  • Personalize messaging based on role and background
  • Manage responses and qualify interest for next steps
Candidate Marketing & Copywriting
  • Draft and refine “blind profile” emails to law firms
  • Maintain a polished, professional tone aligned with high-level legal audiences
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude) while ensuring human-quality output
Submission Workflow Management
  • Prepare candidate materials, including tailored cover letters
  • Ensure all submissions are accurate, compelling, and error-free
  • Support or manage submission processes where required
Marketing Operations Ownership
  • Own and improve outbound workflows and systems
  • Continuously refine messaging, templates, and campaign strategy
  • Collaborate with the founder and existing team for alignment
Must-Have Requirements
  • Exceptional written English (near-native fluency)
  • Proven experience with cold email campaigns and outreach at scale
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills (non-AI-dependent)
  • Experience with tools like Instantly (or similar platforms)
  • Understanding of deliverability, segmentation, and campaign optimization
  • Ability to work US Eastern Time hours
  • High attention to detail and quality control
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience in recruiting, staffing, or talent sourcing
  • Background in legal or professional services industries
  • Experience in B2B or high-stakes communication environments
  • Marketing operations or growth experience
