Employment: Full-Time | Independent Contractor
Working Hours: Full-time, with sufficient overlap with U.S. working hours
About the company: Growing U.S.-based construction company specializing in earthwork, pavers, and concrete projects. The company currently generates much of its business through referrals and completes projects through a combination of self-performed work and trusted subcontractors.
The business is now entering its next stage of growth.
The owner, is looking to strategically move the company further upmarket by pursuing and bidding on larger construction opportunities through ConstructConnect. While the tools and opportunities are already available, the owner currently does not have the bandwidth to consistently review projects, complete takeoffs, prepare estimates, and manage the bidding process himself.
The company is therefore looking for an experienced Construction Estimator who can take ownership of this function and work directly alongside the owner to build a stronger and more scalable bidding pipeline.
This is not intended to be a purely administrative estimating position. The right person will play an important role in helping the client identify, price, and ultimately win larger projects.
About the role: The Construction Estimator will be responsible for managing the client's estimating and bidding workflow, with a particular focus on opportunities sourced through ConstructConnect.
You will review available projects, analyze drawings and project documentation, complete accurate quantity takeoffs, develop cost estimates, and collaborate directly with the owner to validate assumptions and finalize competitive bids.
The owner is already leveraging AI and technology to make the estimating process more efficient, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a modern, technology-enabled environment and using AI tools where appropriate to improve speed and accuracy.
This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator who wants more ownership than they might receive in a traditional estimating department. You will work directly with the business owner and have a measurable impact on the company's ability to secure larger projects.
