Job Title: Content Strategist
Salary: $1,000 – $1,500 / month
Work Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5 PST
Employment Type: Full-Time, Remote, Independent Contractor
Reports To: Founder
About the Company
We are a premium video content studio based in Los Angeles, built for business owners and professionals looking to scale their authority online. We handle production and editing end-to-end so clients can simply show up, share their expertise, and walk away with publish-ready content. As a lean, founder-led team, our mission is helping clients convert their personal expertise into real business growth.
The Role
As our first dedicated content hire, you will own how our studio shows up in the market. You will blend strategy and execution to turn our internal expertise, point of view, and real client questions into published articles, downloadable resources, and video scripts. This is an individual contributor role focused on building a distinctive brand voice that earns trust with our ideal buyers.
What You'll Own
- Editorial Calendar: Plan, prioritize, and maintain a consistent publishing cadence across all channels.
- Research & Writing: Conduct topic research, interview internal team members, and write articles and premium resources (guides, lead magnets) that establish a clear point of view.
- Video Scriptwriting: Write scripts for YouTube long-form content and short-form video platforms centered around target buyer questions.
- AI-Assisted Workflows: Use AI tools to accelerate research, initial drafting, and image generation so output scales without sacrificing quality.
- Conversion Architecture: Ensure every piece of content drives clear next steps (booking a session, downloading a resource, or exploring related content).
- Search & AI Visibility: Structure and optimize content to maximize discovery across standard search engines and AI answer engines.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means using content to earn trust before a prospective client ever books a session. Your work will directly generate high-value organic leads—specifically business owners and qualified creators looking for premium packages or retainers. Content quality and target buyer relevance take priority over pure volume.
Who You Are
- Loves Writing & Research: Demonstrable depth in written communication and topic research (the single biggest predictor of success in this role).
- Strong Interviewer: Personable, articulate, and adept at pulling out clear insights and stories from team conversations.
- Self-Organized: Able to manage deadlines, drive projects forward, and maintain publishing schedules independently.
- Pragmatic AI User: Employs AI as a force-multiplier for research and speed, never as a substitute for original thought or tone.
- Dedicated In-House Mindset: Excited to go deep with a single brand long-term rather than dividing focus across agency clients.
- Note: Prior background in podcasting or video production is not required. We prioritize writing quality and research skill over domain experience.
Hiring Process

- Working Fit Conversation: Conversation with our Studio Manager.
