The Role
The Data Analyst Specialist supports the Director of Analytics & SEO in advancing data maturity, reporting capabilities, and analytics-driven decision-making. This role ensures that website and marketing data is accurate, accessible, and actionable, enabling teams across the organization to understand performance, identify opportunities, and optimize the customer journey.
The Data Analyst Specialist will manage analytics platforms, maintain high data quality standards, create dashboards and insights for stakeholders, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data collection strategies align with business needs and compliance requirements.
This role is essential in scaling our analytics programs, reinforcing consistent data governance, and equipping teams with the insights necessary to achieve organizational goals. The Data Analyst Specialist will report to the Director of Analytics & SEO.
What You’ll Do (Key Accountabilities)
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze website traffic, onsite behavior, conversion data, and campaign performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, and other analytics platforms.
- Build custom dashboards in Google Analytics, Looker Studio, PowerBI, and related tools tailored to the needs of marketing, sales, and leadership stakeholders.
- Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities to improve website and campaign performance.
- Respond efficiently to ad-hoc analysis requests and deliver insights with clarity and context.
- Support ongoing refinement of KPIs, measurement frameworks, and performance benchmarks.
Tracking & Implementation
- Set up, manage, and troubleshoot tracking tags, events, and configurations in Tealium.
- Collaborate with marketers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant data collection.
- Stay current on GA4, Tealium, and emerging analytics platform enhancements to improve data capture and reporting.
- Learn and apply internal data governance practices, including naming conventions, taxonomy, consent requirements, and documentation standards.
- Assist in QA testing of data collection during website updates, campaigns, or new feature launches.
Strategic Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, sales, digital, product, and IT teams to align analytics with broader business objectives.
- Translate analytical findings into meaningful recommendations to influence campaign strategy, digital experience improvements, and decision-making.
- Partner with the Director of Analytics & SEO to support long-term strategy, maturity roadmap initiatives, and standardized data processes.
Continuous Learning & Development
- Stay informed about evolving analytics trends, GA4 features, privacy regulations, and data governance best practices.
- Bring fresh insights and emerging methods to the team to enhance analytical capabilities.
- Share knowledge, contribute to documentation, and help create a culture of data literacy and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
About You (Experience & Characteristics)
Required Experience & Skills
- 2–4+ years of experience in digital analytics, web analytics, data analysis, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with Google Analytics (GA4), Tealium, and Looker Studio.
- Solid understanding of website measurement, event tracking, and digital performance metrics.
- Ability to translate complex data sets into clear insights and visualizations for stakeholders.
- Experience troubleshooting data discrepancies and validating data collection.
- Familiarity with data governance practices, naming conventions, and privacy considerations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills—able to clearly explain analytics concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with using AI to assist with analytics and reporting efforts.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with marketing technology platforms or CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript as it relates to tag implementation.
- Experience working with large datasets or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Exposure to SEO data and tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Semrush) is a plus.
- Experience in multi-channel marketing or demand generation environments.
