We are a private equity firm that owns and operates two regional lawn and pest control companies — one in New Orleans, Louisiana, and one in Jacksonville, Florida. Both businesses are in active growth mode with a concentrated push into digital marketing to drive customer acquisition and brand visibility across their local markets.
About the Role
~1 min readThis role exists because leadership has a clear marketing vision and no bandwidth to execute it. The principals are running these businesses day-to-day and can set the strategy — they need someone who can take a brief, work independently, and deliver finished product without being managed through every step.
You won't be handed a detailed playbook for every task. You'll be handed a direction and expected to move. This is an execution role, and the right person will treat it like a craft.
This person will support digital marketing efforts across both portfolio companies.
Responsibilities

- →Build Facebook and Instagram ad variations based on strategy briefs from leadership — expect to produce 5–10 creative variations per campaign
- →Write ad copy across multiple angles (offer-driven, testimonial, awareness, seasonal) and test messaging approaches
- →Resize and adapt existing creative assets for different placements and formats (feed, story, reel, carousel)
- →Monitor ad performance at a surface level and flag low performers or creative fatigue to leadership
- →Stay current on Meta ad best practices — formats, creative trends, and what's working in local service marketing
Video Editing & Production Support
- →Edit raw video footage into social-ready clips for Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts
- →Add captions, transitions, music, and branded elements to raw footage
- →Maintain brand consistency across all video output — tone, fonts, color treatment
- →Turn around edited video within 24 hours of receiving source material in most cases
- →Repurpose long-form video into short clips and platform-specific cuts
Graphic Design & Creative Assets
- →Design digital and print-ready assets: flyers, door hangers, mailers, promotional graphics, and seasonal campaign materials
- →Create branded templates for recurring content types to improve production speed over time
- →Maintain a library of approved brand assets, fonts, colors, and logo files for both companies
- →Produce social graphics, cover images, and profile assets as needed
Content Creation & Copywriting
- →Draft social media captions, post copy, and short-form content for both company accounts
- →Assist with blog posts, email newsletters, or promotional write-ups on an as-needed basis
- →Adapt tone and messaging between the two portfolio brands as needed
- →Use AI tools to accelerate content drafts — then refine, edit, and elevate the output to publish-ready quality
Workflow, Communication & Execution
- →Manage multiple concurrent projects across two companies and communicate priorities clearly
- →Receive direction asynchronously and execute with minimal follow-up needed
- →Proactively flag blockers, capacity constraints, or timeline risks — before they become problems
- →Maintain an organized file structure and content calendar so nothing falls through the cracks
- →Coordinate with the external SEO firm on an as-needed basis (website and landing pages are handled separately)
Requirements
~1 min read- 2+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, or a closely related role
- Demonstrated ability to produce Meta/Facebook ads — copy, creative, and format adaptation
- Proficiency with AI content tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, or similar) as a production accelerator, not a replacement for judgment
- Video editing competency in CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, or equivalent
- Graphic design skills sufficient for social and print assets (Canva, Adobe Express, Photoshop, or similar)
- Strong written English — this person communicates directly with company principals and produces outward-facing content
- Portfolio or work samples required — candidates without demonstrable creative output will not advance
- Experience supporting multiple brands or clients simultaneously (agency background is a strong signal)
- Familiarity with home services, trades, lawn care, pest control, or local service business marketing
- Working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager — campaign structure, audience basics, creative specs
- Experience managing or contributing to a content calendar across multiple accounts
- Comfort working U.S. business hours or maintaining overlap with U.S. Eastern/Central time zones
