Finance Associate – Performance Marketing & Ad Spend (LATAM/Europe, Poland, Canada) - 61125822543
Quick Summary
Reconcile daily spend exports and maintain proper account naming conventions (tracking by agency, media buyer, and vertical).
We are a highly profitable, cash-flow-positive performance marketing holding company that builds, scales, and operates a global portfolio of consumer brands.
Today, our CFO and Controller carry the full weight of reconciliation, close, and reporting. We are hiring a Finance Associate who can step in to own the day-to-day financial operations: keeping high-volume digital ad spend perfectly reconciled, ensuring the monthly close is clean and on time, and making sure the numbers are accurate and ready for leadership to act on.
This is a fully remote role open to top financial talent across Europe (with a preference for Central/Eastern Europe to align with our CFO in Poland), Latin America, Mexico, and Canada. You will join a fast-moving environment with an explicit opportunity to make a massive operational impact from day one.
You will own the daily reconciliation of digital media spend across our various ad platforms and Business Managers, keeping our databases accurate, complete, and up to date:
- Reconcile daily spend exports and maintain proper account naming conventions (tracking by agency, media buyer, and vertical).
- Support our twice-weekly (Monday & Thursday) Business Manager update cadence.
- Account accurately for banned accounts, delayed spend from prior periods, and agency changes.
- Proactively surface spending anomalies, overspend, or tracking discrepancies to the leadership team.
You will support a clean, accurate, and on-time monthly close across payments, payroll, revenue, and vendor activity:
- Assist with the financial close procedures and prepare documentation and supporting schedules for review.
- Support payroll and contractor payment runs twice monthly (on the 1st and 15th).
- Reconcile Accounts Receivable (collections from call centers/buyers) and Accounts Payable (vendor and affiliate payments).
- Tie out revenue streams across lead sales and frontend checkout systems, processing and reconciling invoices against approved spend.
You will turn reconciled, accurate data into clear analysis that directly supports company decision-making:
- Support P&L and cash flow reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly cadences.
- Analyze spend trends, margins, and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) categorized by agency, media buyer, and vertical.
- Build and maintain clear tracking sheets and internal reporting views.
- Investigate variances between reported and actual figures, delivering ad-hoc analysis for the CFO.
- Help shape company budgeting and forecasting as our financial function continues to mature.
- Industry Experience (Required): Strong familiarity and hands-on experience with performance marketing, affiliate networks, or DTC e-commerce business models. You understand the unique, fast-moving financial mechanics of media buying and digital product margins.
- Core Experience: 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, bookkeeping, FP&A, or a highly analytical/operational finance role.
- Domain Expertise: Direct experience reconciling high-volume digital advertising/media spend (Facebook/Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Technical Stack: Mastery of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and advanced spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets).
- The "Owner" Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail, a strong sense of personal ownership over data accuracy, and the ability to hit recurring daily deadlines at a fast pace.
- Communication: Fluent or native-level English with proactive, crystal-clear written and verbal communication. You flag issues and anomalies early rather than letting them sit.
- Remote Fluency: Complete comfort working in a fully remote, fast-moving environment with significant asynchronous communication (Slack, Notion).
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Exposure to crypto/USDT payments and multi-provider payment reconciliation.
