Finance Associate (Portfolio & Treasury Operations) - 20528
Quick Summary
Location: Remote - Overlap with EST Employment Type: [Full-time - IC] Reports to: Senior Finance Leadership Compensation: Competitive
We are a U.S.-based real estate investment platform focused on the hospitality sector, managing a portfolio of hotel and hospitality assets held across multiple ownership entities. Our finance team supports the full investment lifecycle — from cash and treasury operations to lender relationships and capital transactions — for a portfolio that continues to grow in both scale and complexity.
About the Role
~1 min readAs the portfolio has grown, so has the volume of recurring, deadline-driven finance work: weekly cash forecasting, monthly and quarterly lender reporting, covenant tracking, and capital transaction support. Today much of that work sits with senior finance leaders whose time is better spent on strategy, transactions, and lender relationships.
This role exists to own that recurring execution. You will be the person who keeps the reporting engine running accurately and on time — protecting lender relationships, keeping the portfolio compliant, and freeing senior leadership to focus on higher-value work. In return, you gain cross-disciplinary finance exposure that is almost never available in a single seat: treasury, debt compliance, capital transactions, and portfolio reporting under one roof.
You will work directly alongside experienced finance professionals and interface regularly with property teams, making both precision and communication essential to the role.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Review and analyze weekly property cash flow forecast submissions.
- Flag meaningful changes in liquidity, operating cash activity, and ownership distributions before they become issues.
- Prepare weekly variance summaries and reporting commentary for management review.
- Support weekly cash forecasting, bank reconciliations, and related cash management activities.
- Assist with monthly cash flow updates following Accounts Payable close.
- Own the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual lender reporting packages.
- Compile certifications, financial statements, covenant calculations, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain lender reporting deadlines and compliance calendars so nothing slips.
- Support debt service calculations and ongoing debt administration.
- Monitor covenants and surface potential compliance risks early.
- Support loan abstract preparation during refinancings and financing transactions.
- Support preparation of capital contribution requests, funding packages, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with distribution approval packages and supporting schedules.
- Run financial reports and analyses from Oracle.
- Support cash reconciliations and forecast-to-actual analyses.
- Coordinate FF&E reimbursement requests for ownership-funded capital expenditures, including documentation and follow-up with property teams.
- Provide backup support for Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and vendor setup.
- Partner with property and accounting teams to keep reporting data accurate and consistent across entities.
- Contribute to process improvement, reporting enhancements, and special projects across portfolio finance operations.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, treasury, or real estate finance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (comfortable building and maintaining recurring models and schedules).
- Exceptional attention to detail — this role lives and dies on accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple recurring, deadline-driven workstreams independently.
- Strong written communication for reporting commentary and cross-team coordination.
- Direct exposure to debt compliance, lender reporting, or covenant calculations.
- Experience with cash flow forecasting and treasury operations.
- Real estate, hospitality, REIT, or asset management finance experience.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion or a comparable ERP.
- Familiarity with loan agreements, loan abstracts, and interest calculations.
- Ability to interpret ownership structures, legal entity structures, and organizational charts.
- Working knowledge of core financial statements (Trial Balance, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows) and Accounts Payable's impact on cash.
You are:
- Highly organized and deadline-driven — you build calendars, track dependencies, and never let a lender report slip.
- Precise by instinct — you double-check the numbers because you know a covenant miss or a reporting error carries real consequences.
- A self-starter — you take a recurring process and own it end to end without needing to be managed through each cycle.
- Comfortable with complexity — multiple entities, ownership structures, and moving cash flows energize you rather than overwhelm you.
- A clear communicator — you can write a variance summary a busy executive can act on and coordinate directly with property teams.
- Growth-minded — you want breadth across treasury, debt, and capital transactions, not a narrow siloed lane.
What We Offer
~1 min readMost finance careers force you to specialize early — you become the treasury person, or the debt person, or the reporting person. This seat is different. In one role you gain hands-on exposure across disciplines that are usually split across separate teams:
