About the client:
The client is an investment platform focused on acquiring durable, cash-flowing businesses in industrial and business services sectors. Their approach is centered on long-term ownership, operational stability, and compounding cash flow over time.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to develop and maintain a continuous, tiered pipeline. This is crucial for ensuring a steady deal flow, even in the event of an opportunity falling through.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a pipeline of acquisition opportunities across platforms like Axial, BizBuySell, Benchmark and direct outreach to investment banks across various industries.
- Review financial information (EBITDA, profitability, history) on identified targets, sign NDAs, and analyze data room materials
- Evaluate businesses quickly and independently, focusing on cash flow quality, customer concentration, and downside risk
- Prepare concise deal summaries and recommendations (what’s worth pursuing vs. passing)
- Support financial analysis and valuation for live opportunities
- Participate in management presentations and due diligence on promising acquisition opportunities
- Support the overall M&A process, including early-stage diligence, including NDAs, data room review, and information requests
- Work directly with client’ high-priority opportunities and strategic decisions
Key Skills & Experience:
- US M&A experience (location is flexible, but US market familiarity is required).
- Deal sourcing platform proficiency (Axial, BizBuySell).
- Financial modeling.
- Investment banking relationships are a major plus.
- Internal Tools:
- Airtable-based custom CRM.
