Full-Stack Developer (eCommerce & Web Infrastructure)

About the Role: We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and execution-focused Full Stack Web Developer with hands-on experience managing Shopify and WooCommerce/WordPress websites. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys owning the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of eCommerce websites while providing reliable technical support across our digital storefronts.

Rather than building complex enterprise applications or architecting large-scale systems, you'll be responsible for ensuring our websites remain secure, functional, optimized, and up to date. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement new features, launch promotions, resolve technical issues, and enhance the overall customer experience through ongoing website improvements.

The ideal candidate is a dependable problem solver who can balance website administration with front-end and back-end development tasks while working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Shopify & WooCommerce Website Management

• Manage and maintain Shopify and WooCommerce/WordPress websites to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
• Create, update, and publish website content, landing pages, product listings, promotions, and collections.
• Configure and maintain Shopify apps, WordPress plugins, and website integrations.
• Customize existing themes and templates to support marketing initiatives and business requirements.
• Monitor website health, resolve issues proactively, and ensure a seamless customer experience.

2. Website Maintenance & Technical Support

• Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs, broken functionality, and user-reported issues.
• Perform routine website maintenance, software updates, plugin updates, backups, and security checks.
• Maintain SSL certificates, hosting environments, and domain configurations.
• Coordinate website deployments and test updates before production releases.
• Ensure websites remain responsive and compatible across browsers and devices.

3. Front-End Development & Enhancements

• Implement website design updates using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid.
• Customize WordPress themes and WooCommerce templates to support business needs.
• Build and maintain responsive layouts with a focus on usability and accessibility.
• Optimize website navigation, page layouts, and customer experience.

4. Performance Optimization & Best Practices

• Improve website speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall site performance.
• Optimize images, scripts, plugins, and page assets for faster load times.
• Follow SEO best practices when implementing website updates.
• Maintain clean documentation for website changes, configurations, and technical processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience working with Shopify and/or WooCommerce/WordPress websites.
• Experience managing production eCommerce websites and performing ongoing website administration.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency with Shopify, WooCommerce, and WordPress.
• Experience working with Shopify Liquid.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and basic PHP.
• Familiarity with MySQL databases and WordPress architecture.
• Experience configuring plugins, apps, themes, and website integrations.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with website hosting platforms, DNS management, and SSL certificates.
• Experience using Git or other version control tools is preferred.

• Experience integrating email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo or Mailchimp.
• Knowledge of website accessibility standards and SEO best practices.
• Previous experience supporting small to mid-sized eCommerce businesses.
