Graphic Designer & Creative Lead - 60995682991
Quick Summary
Graphic Designer & Creative Lead Remote | Full-Time | Independent Contractor Consumer Packaged Goods | Direct-to-Consumer | Early-Stage Brand About the Company We are a rapidly growing U.S.
We are a rapidly growing U.S.-based direct-to-consumer brand disrupting the energy drink market. Our flagship product is a science-backed, powdered energy drink formulated with time-released microencapsulated caffeine, nootropics, adaptogens, creatine, and zero sugar — designed for focus, performance, and daily habitual use.
Unlike the traditional supplement or energy drink market, we pair premium, clinically-dosed ingredients with bold limited-edition flavors, collectible packaging, and an interactive brand experience. We launched in early 2025 and are already generating $250K–$300K per month in revenue.
We operate lean, move fast, and care deeply about brand aesthetics. Every detail matters — from the label on the tub to the ad that reaches a new customer.
About the Role
~1 min readThis role exists because we're replacing a two-person setup with one high-caliber hire. Right now, we have a creative designer handling brand artwork and a separate freelancer managing technical label production in Adobe Illustrator. We're consolidating both functions into a single, skilled designer who can do it all.
The founding team has strong creative direction and brand vision — they'll hand you a vibe, loose parameters, and reference aesthetics. Your job is to take that brief and execute at a high level: multiple concepts, fast iteration, refined taste, and the technical know-how to get a product label press-ready.
This is not a strategy role. It's a hands-on execution role for someone who loves the craft of design and thrives in a fast-moving, aesthetics-obsessed consumer brand environment.
Responsibilities
~2 min readProduct & Label Design
- →Own the design and technical production of all product labels, including supplement facts panels, regulatory compliance formatting, and print-ready file preparation
- →Set up and manage label files in Adobe Illustrator with proper dimensions, bleed, and structural accuracy for physical production
- →Coordinate with manufacturing partners and printers to ensure files meet spec before orders are placed
- →Manage label version control and file organization across multiple SKUs and flavor releases
Brand Creative & Visual Assets
- →Concept and execute artwork for each flavor drop — bold, style-forward illustrations and visual treatments that align with the brand's aesthetic direction
- →Design landing pages, web assets, and product photography overlays in collaboration with the marketing team
- →Create ad creative for paid social campaigns (Meta, TikTok) — static and light motion where applicable
- →Design pitch decks, one-pagers, and brand presentations for creator and influencer outreach
- →Produce merchandise graphics, apparel designs, and promotional assets as needed
Brand Consistency & Execution
- →Maintain and evolve brand guidelines across all touchpoints
- →Manage design file libraries and asset organization so the team can access what they need quickly
- →Deliver multiple design options per brief and iterate based on feedback efficiently
- →Stay ahead of trends in CPG, supplement, and streetwear-adjacent brand aesthetics
Requirements
~1 min read- 4+ years of professional graphic design experience
- Expert-level Adobe Illustrator — this is non-negotiable; label and print production work is central to the role
- Demonstrated experience designing physical product labels or packaging (supplement, food/beverage, or CPG strongly preferred)
- Strong portfolio of brand identity and consumer-facing creative work — it needs to have style, not just technical correctness
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and experience designing digital assets for web and paid social
- Comfortable working independently with loose creative direction — you execute, you don't wait for hand-holding
- Strong English communication skills; able to receive feedback clearly and iterate quickly
- Reliable high-speed internet and professional remote setup
- Experience designing for supplement, energy drink, or lifestyle CPG brands
- Familiarity with print production requirements: bleed, safe zones, CMYK vs. RGB, die-lines
- Experience designing paid social ad creative with an understanding of what performs
- Light motion graphics or GIF creation capability
- Experience working with or for founder-led, direct-to-consumer brands
- Background in illustration or art direction — our brand has a strong artistic identity and flavor-specific visual worlds
You are a designer with genuine taste. You don't just execute briefs — you elevate them. You've worked on brands where aesthetics are the product, and you know the difference between something that looks professional and something that actually has style.
You are:
- Technically sharp in Adobe Illustrator with real label and print production experience under your belt
- Fast and iterative — you deliver 3–4 concepts, take feedback gracefully, and turn revisions quickly
- Self-directed and organized — you manage your own files, track your own deadlines, and flag issues before they become problems
- Aesthetically tuned to the CPG and lifestyle brand space — you follow what's cool in supplement, streetwear, and DTC without being asked
- Comfortable with ambiguity — you can work from a mood board or a one-sentence brief and still come back with something compelling
- A strong communicator who over-communicates status and flags blockers early rather than going quiet
