Location of Search : South Africa, Philippines, Latin America, or Any Region

Type of Contract : Independent Contractor
Company/Client Overview:
Our client is a go-to-market agency in the e-commerce space. They are hiring a hybrid operator who can generate campaign ideas, translate client strategy into technical requirements, and ship campaigns end-to-end.
This role sits between clients and their GTM Engineers. You will own campaign ideation, scoping, prototyping, and execution — while becoming a trusted client-facing operator.
This is not a pure developer role. This is not a pure project manager role. This is a strategic + technical builder role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to understand their lead generation goals, come up with creative GTM strategies, and build initial "proof of concept" workflows.
- Act as the primary translator between client requirements and the GTM Engineering team. You must be able to read API documentation to determine what is possible.
- Use tools like Clay and Claude Code (or Cursor/Anti-gravity) to build sophisticated, automated outbound systems.
What You’ll Own
- Creating new campaign ideas every month
- Turning ideas into clear technical requirements
- Building prototypes to validate ideas quickly
- Launching campaigns end-to-end
- Improving internal systems and automations
- Acting as the client ↔ GTM Engineer bridge
- Reducing founder dependency over time
Minimum Requirements:
Language requirement: Excellent English Communication Skills
Education: Bachelor's Degree (ideally)
Experience: 3+ years of related experience
Industry: E-commerce experience (specifically within the e-commerce SaaS space, understanding the tech stacks of Shopify apps and agencies such as Klaviyo, Gorgias will be a huge advantage.)
Day in the Life
Your days will include a mix of:
Client Strategy
- Join client calls to plan campaign ideas
- Develop triggers, angles, offers, and testing ideas
- Push back when ideas aren’t strong
- Clarify messy goals into structured plans
Structured Execution
- Write structured call notes
- Convert discussions into actionable ClickUp tasks
- Define scope, steps, acceptance criteria, and dependencies
- Work with developers to explain requirements clearly
Prototyping & Building
- Use tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Clay, n8n
- Build scrapers, enrichment workflows, and trigger systems
- Test new APIs and integrations
- Prototype ideas quickly before full builds
Example projects:
- Podcast scraper
- Browser automation to screenshot enterprise search pages
- Custom enrichment logic
- Trigger engines
Campaign Creation
- Draft structured campaign copy (directional, not expert-level copywriting)
- Set up campaigns directly when capacity allows
- Work with designers to define mockups and campaign assets
Continuous Improvement
- Identify gaps in current campaigns
- Propose new triggers and experiments
- Build automations to reduce manual work
- Create at least one meaningful improvement per month
Client Communication
- Write structured updates
- Report on campaign performance
- Explain tradeoffs clearly
- Become someone clients can speak to directly
What Success Looks Like
Within 90 days:
- You generate 3–5 campaign ideas per month
- 1–2 ideas move into execution
- Campaigns launch without founder rewriting requirements
- Clients are comfortable speaking to you directly
- You introduce at least 1 meaningful system or automation improvement per month
- Founder involvement in campaign operations decreases
Long-term success:
- Campaign velocity increases
- Operational clarity increases
- Manual work decreases
- You proactively bring ideas instead of waiting for tasks
Required Skills
- Experience with automation tools (n8n or similar)
- Ability to build end-to-end campaigns
- Comfortable reading API documentation
- Ability to prototype (Postgres, APIs, basic frontend)
- Strong structured writing skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Practical understanding of GitHub workflows
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly
Nice to Have
- Experience in the eCommerce SaaS ecosystem
- Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, Gorgias, and related tools
- Customer Success, RevOps, or Solutions background
- Experience acting as the bridge between clients and engineers
Critical Expectation: Initiative
This role requires high ownership. If all campaigns are complete, your job is to identify:
- New campaign ideas
- New triggers or variations
- New experiments
- System improvements
- Automation opportunities
You should bring options and recommendations — not wait for tasks.
You should be comfortable pushing back on weak ideas and defending strong ones.
This Role Is Not
- A pure developer role
- A pure project management role
- A copywriting-only role
- A highly structured corporate environment
- We move quickly, prototype early, and improve continuously.
