Senior Go-to-Market (GTM) Engineer

Employment Type: Full time, independent contractor
Work Model: Remote
Work Hours: US work hours

About the company: We're a boutique, AI-native outbound agency that builds pipeline for ambitious companies through highly engineered cold outbound. We're not a lead-gen shop running the same template across a list. Every campaign is custom-built with AI, automation, enrichment, deliverability engineering, and real research, and tuned per client until it converts.

Our clients span venture-backed B2B SaaS, AI startups, biotech, financial services, founders raising capital, private equity and investment firms, commercial real estate owners sourcing tenants, M&A brokerages, and high-growth service businesses. One week you're building outbound to Heads of Claims at insurance carriers, the next it's an investor-outreach raise for a biotech seed round, or helping a CRE owner fill a 200,000 sq ft building.

We run real volume, 30,000 to 100,000+ emails a month per client across dedicated infrastructure, paired with LinkedIn and, at scale, cold-calling on inbound replies. We're intentionally lean, deeply technical, and obsessed with quality over volume. We win on a proof flywheel: most engagements start with a free pilot and carry a hard guarantee (for example, 20 qualified meetings in 90 days), so the work has to actually perform.

Today, every client engagement is personally delivered by the founder. That changes with this hire.

This is the most important hire we'll make

We're not looking for someone to execute tasks. We're looking for the operational backbone of the company.

  • Someone who can build campaigns that outperform the founder.
  • Someone who treats outbound as both an engineering and a strategic discipline, and can't stop improving the system.
  • Someone who won't just help us scale, but will define how we scale.

If you're looking for another remote marketing job, this isn't it. If you want to become the future Head of GTM inside a fast-growing AI-native outbound firm, keep reading.
The opportunity

You'll start hands-on, working directly alongside the founder and owning campaign execution while sharpening every part of delivery. As we grow, you'll take over fulfillment so the founder can focus on growth and sales.

The endgame is clear, and it's the entire point of this role: you become our Head of GTM. You'll build and lead the delivery organization, structured into client pods, each pod a small team of GTM Engineers you've hired and trained, each pod owning its own book of clients. You won't just run that org, you'll design it: the hiring bar, the playbooks every pod follows, the QA standards, and the tooling they all run on. This is real progression into a leadership seat with genuine ownership, not another individual-contributor role.
How we run outbound (the strategies you'll master)

This is the work, and what you'll own and keep improving:
  • Multi-channel by default: email and LinkedIn run in parallel, with cold-calling on inbound replies at scale to roughly double meeting conversion.
  • Deliverability as an engineering discipline: brand-permutation domains, warmup, MX-matched sending (Google senders to Google recipients, Microsoft to Microsoft), inbox-placement testing, spam-word and copy filtering, and blacklist monitoring.
  • Signal-based and custom sourcing: funding and SEC/Form-D signals, hiring signals, tech-stack fingerprinting, lookalike modeling, directory and portal scrapes, and creative angles (like inferring owner age and tenure to time an exit) that most agencies never think of.
  • Waterfall enrichment and validation: multi-provider email/phone finding, MX classification, and hard ICP scrubbing (revenue caps, exclusions, entity matching) so lists are clean before a single send.
  • AI personalization that doesn't read like AI: per-prospect merge variables (their ideal-customer avatar, ICP scenario, industry) built from website scrapes, plus spintax and variant testing to avoid content fingerprinting.
  • Offer design that gets replies: low-friction front-end hooks (free pilots, trials, lead magnets), never audits, never pay-per-meeting.
  • LinkedIn at scale: rented, rebranded real accounts, connect-plus-DM, and Sales Navigator free InMails, carrying the same personalization we run on email.
  • Documented, measured delivery: every campaign documented (segment, persona, thesis, offers, tests) with weekly client updates.

The funnel you'll own

Everything we do is measured. You'll own and optimize the full funnel, stage by stage:
  • Reply rate — our first read on deliverability; if it drops, we diagnose inboxing before we touch copy
  • Reply sentiment — positive vs neutral vs negative, so we know whether the message is actually landing
  • Interested replies per total leads contacted — our core efficiency metric and the truest measure of a campaign
  • Meeting booking rate
  • Qualified meeting booking rate — the number clients care about, and what backs our guarantee
  • Close rate — we track all the way to closed revenue, because a booked meeting was never the goal; a client win is

What you'll own

You'll design, build, and continuously improve these systems end to end: the offer and copy, the sending infrastructure and deliverability, the sourcing and enrichment, and the AI-enabled workflows that tie it all together and let one operator run many clients.

On copy specifically, the bar is high: you write emails that read as genuinely human, the hand-written, human-first quality people like Nick Saraev preach, never the templated "AI slop" everyone's inbox is now full of. AI helps you research, source, and scale. It does not get to write the email.

Where we're headed

Today we source with a strong stack of tools and custom workflows. Where we're going is deeper: using Claude Code to custom-source leads programmatically, building bespoke scrapers, signal engines, and enrichment pipelines on demand instead of being limited by any single platform. You'll be central to building that, turning "we need a list of X that no database has" into a repeatable, code-driven capability. If writing agents that go find leads nobody else can reach sounds like fun, this is your playground.

Experimentation

Constant experimentation is the job, not an afterthought. You'll test new tools, prompts, messaging, and workflows, break things, improve them, and repeat. If you're testing new GTM software before everyone else hears about it, that's exactly the instinct we want.

Tools you'll be comfortable with

We care less about any single platform than about how fast you learn new ones. That said, you should already have deep hands-on experience across categories like:
  • Clay and custom sourcing/enrichment workflows
  • Sending infrastructure: Instantly, Smartlead, Email Bison, or similar, plus custom sending setups
  • Deliverability: warmup and inbox-placement tools (e.g., MailReach), DNS/MX, DKIM/SPF/DMARC via InboxKit
  • Enrichment & validation: MillionVerifier, NeverBounce, AnyMailFinder, Prospeo, and multi-provider waterfalls
  • Data sources: Apollo, Ocean.io, GetLeads, Apify actors, SEC EDGAR / Form D, BuiltWith
  • AI: Claude / Claude Code, GPT, and prompt/agent design for large-scale research, sourcing, and copy
  • LinkedIn: Sales Navigator and LinkedIn automation
  • Automation & scripting: APIs, n8n / Make / Zapier, plus comfort with light Python and spreadsheet-based workflow design

Who you are
  • Likely 5–8+ years building outbound systems in modern B2B
  • You love solving hard GTM problems and obsess over better ways of doing things
  • You don't need SOPs for everything; you thrive in ambiguity and enjoy figuring things out
  • You combine strategy, copywriting, data, automation, deliverability, and AI into one skill set
  • You're the person teammates come to when they can't crack a GTM challenge

What success looks like

Within your first six months, you'll have taken ownership of client delivery, raised campaign quality beyond today's standard (better reply and booking rates), significantly increased delivery capacity (more clients per operator), introduced new workflows and tooling, and helped us serve substantially more clients without losing the quality bar.
Within 12–24 months, you'll be positioned to step into Head of GTM, building and leading our delivery org, hiring and training the GTM Engineers who staff each client pod, and owning how the whole delivery machine scales.

How we invest in you

We put real money behind your growth. We'll fund the courses, programs, and communities that make you sharper, and you'll have a standing budget for experimentation, new tools, test campaigns, and the tinkering that leads to our next edge. Your development is a line item here, not an afterthought.

Why join us?
  • Build and lead the GTM organization from the ground up, with pods of GTM Engineers reporting to you
  • Direct access to the founder and how the entire business runs
  • Fast progression into Head of GTM, with real ownership and autonomy
  • We invest in your growth: funded courses and programs, plus a real experimentation budget
  • Work with cutting-edge AI and outbound tech every day, and help build the future of code-driven lead sourcing
  • Solve genuinely different problems across a diverse client portfolio (SaaS, capital raises, CRE, healthcare, M&A, and more)
  • Help build one of the most technically sophisticated outbound firms in the market

If you spend your evenings testing new AI tools, building better outbound systems, and asking "how can this be done better?", we'd love to meet you.
