Position: Head of Finance (Full-time)
Salary: 1,250-1,750 USD (depends on skills and prior experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm PST
Holidays: US Holidays

Cherry LA offers a wide selection of ready-to-wear clothing for both men and women, from versatile basics to statement pieces. All products are made in the United States.

 

Job Overview:
The Head of Finance will play a role in overseeing and managing the financial operations at Cherry LA. This individual will be responsible for monitoring cash flow, handling reconciliations, preparing financial reports for partners, and managing accounts payable and receivable. Additionally, the Head of Finance will oversee the approval process for purchase orders and invoice payments, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Oversee the company's cash flow to ensure stable financial health and proper liquidity.
    • Implement cash flow forecasts and develop strategies for efficient cash management.
  • Reconciliations:
    • Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records and resolve discrepancies promptly.
    • Ensure that reconciliations are completed in a timely manner to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and present weekly and monthly financial reports for company partners, providing insights on financial performance, variances, and trends.
    • Develop financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable:
    • Manage and oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain accurate records and support vendor and customer relationships.
    • Ensure that invoicing and collections processes are optimized for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Purchase Orders and Invoice Payments:
    • Review and approve purchase orders and invoices according to company policies and guidelines.
    • Work closely with department heads to ensure proper documentation and adherence to budget guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of cash flow management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, ERP systems).
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in an accessible way.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
