Role: HR & Compliance Manager
Priority Location: LATAM
Working Hours: 9AM - 5PM CST
Salary Range: $1,500 - $2,500 per month (The final offer is at the client’s discretion and depends on the candidate’s interview result, skills, and experience.)
Type of contract: Independent Contractor, Full-Time

About the Role:
We are looking for a rigorous, process-oriented HR & Compliance Manager to lead our People Operations. In this role, you will be the primary guardian of our employment standards, ensuring the company remains compliant, efficient, and supportive as we scale across different US states
Responsibilities:
- Oversee updates and implementation of employee handbook
- Keep track of and review changing laws and regulations
- Draft agreements and templates for employee situations
- Handle all people team related mail and email
- Run weekly payroll, including checking hours for each team member
- Handle benefits updates, audits, and questions
- Manage workers compensation insurance and claims
- Own, edit, and build the People Team Standard Operating Procedures
- Manage documents and agreements in Rippling, our HR software
- Post, and manage job listings for all roles in the company
- Schedule interviews with candidates and run first round interviews
- Conduct candidate reference checks
- Assist with candidate onboarding, training, and travel arrangements
- Assist with annual performance reviews and improve performance review process
- Lead research and initiatives to improve hiring, retention, and performance
- Assist with team member terminations and offboarding
- Set up celebratory events (birthdays, anniversaries, etc) for team members
Requirements:
- Access to reliable, fast internet
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Fluent written and spoken Spanish
- Independent critical thinking and problem solving ability
- Extremely high attention to detail
- Extremely high personal integrity and accountability
- Strong knowledge of US Employment Law (Federal and State)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Law or similar field
- 5+ years experience in People Operations
