We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer with deep expertise in adult learning theory and a proven ability to transform complex healthcare content into engaging, effective educational experiences. This role requires someone who is skilled in instructional design, highly collaborative, and capable of integrating modern AI tools to enhance course development.
The ideal candidate thrives in a remote environment, manages multiple projects independently, and brings both curiosity and creativity to designing impactful learning experiences for healthcare and medical education audiences.
Responsibilities

Lead instructional design for a portfolio of custom eLearning, blended learning, and live training projects.

Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), clinicians, and client stakeholders to translate complex medical and scientific content into learner-centered experiences.

Write and structure scripts, storyboards, facilitator guides, participant guides, assessments, and other courseware deliverables.

Apply evidence-based instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Backwards Design) to develop outcomes-driven learning solutions.

Collaborate with graphic designers, video producers, and developers to ensure instructional integrity across all deliverables.

Contribute to internal content development, including templates, frameworks, process documentation, and thought leadership materials.

Integrate AI tools thoughtfully into the design workflow to enhance efficiency, quality, and creativity.

Manage multiple concurrent projects, communicate proactively, and deliver consistently on time.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of professional instructional design experience with a portfolio of completed courseware.

Proven ability to translate complex technical content into clear learning experiences (healthcare or medical education preferred).

Strong writing and storytelling skills for scripts, learning objectives, and assessments.

Solid working knowledge of instructional design models, adult learning theory, and assessment methodology.

Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, or Adobe Captivate.

Demonstrated professional use of AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) in instructional design workflows.

Ability to manage workload independently in a fully remote setting.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external SMEs.

Highly organized and proactive in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Creative thinker with a curiosity to stay ahead of instructional design trends and technologies.
